Key Deliverables
The engagement should produce concrete, reusable assets, including:
- Commercial Lending Lifecycle Blueprint — an end-to-end map of origination, fulfillment, closing, servicing, and portfolio workflows with personas, systems, handoffs, data dependencies, and breakdown points.
- Origination & Fulfillment Workflow Pack — detailed maps for intake, qualification, document collection, spreading, underwriting support, credit-memo preparation, approval, conditions, closing, funding, and boarding.
- Persona & Jobs-to-Be-Done Map — responsibilities, pain points, artifacts, decisions, handoffs, systems, and success metrics for each persona.
- Document & Data Requirement Matrix — required documents, data fields, source systems, and evidence standards by deal type and workflow stage.
- Credit Package / CAM Reference Model — a recommended structure for credit-package outputs: borrower overview, sponsor / guarantor analysis, collateral, financial analysis, risk-rating support, exceptions, conditions, covenants, approvals, and evidence links.
- Policy, Exception & Approval Logic Guide — how lender policy, authority matrices, exceptions, overrides, and approvals should be represented in workflows and AI outputs.
- Conditions & Covenants Playbook — how conditions and covenants are generated, assigned, tracked, escalated, cleared, monitored, and surfaced across origination, closing, servicing, and portfolio.
- Golden Deal Library & Validation Rubric — representative scenarios and expected outputs for evaluating AI performance, SME review, regression testing, and release readiness.
- Servicing & Portfolio Opportunity Map — a prioritized view of post-close workflows where JazzX can create value (payments, rate resets, UCC continuations, modifications, payoffs, covenant testing, annual reviews, watchlist, early warning). Delivered if within the consultant’s expertise.
- Product Readiness Review — an assessment of whether JazzX’s commercial lending workflows, demos, requirements, and outputs are credible, accurate, and ready for customer-facing use.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 10+ years of hands-on commercial lending experience at a bank, commercial lender, credit union, specialty finance company, consulting firm, or lender-facing technology company.

- Strong familiarity with CRE and / or C&I lending (ideally both).
- Practical understanding of credit policy, approval authorities, risk ratings, covenants, exceptions, documentation standards, and audit / loan-review expectations.
- Able to map workflows across relationship managers, analysts, underwriters, credit officers, closers, loan operations, servicing, portfolio management, risk, compliance, and internal audit.

- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to turn domain expertise into crisp documentation, examples, product guidance, and cross-functional training.
- Sound judgment about what AI can safely prepare or recommend versus what must remain human-owned.
- Comfortable working with product, engineering, UX, data, and GTM teams in a fast-moving product environment.
Strongly Preferred

- Commercial loan servicing experience — payment administration, rate resets, modifications, renewals, payoffs, UCC continuations, borrower requests, and servicing controls.
- Portfolio management experience — covenant monitoring, annual reviews, risk-rating changes, watchlist management, early-warning indicators, borrower reporting, collateral monitoring, and exam / audit readiness.
- Background in credit administration, loan review, internal audit, or regulatory exam preparation.
- Prior involvement in commercial lending transformation, LOS implementation, workflow redesign, AI / automation, credit-policy modernization, or operating-model redesign.
- Experience supporting technology vendors, fintechs, consulting firms, or implementation teams serving commercial lenders.
- Comfortable participating in customer discovery and lighthouse scoping with senior credit, risk, operations, and technology stakeholders.
