About the OpportunityWe are seeking a mid-to-senior level Performance Marketing, Paid Social, or Growth Marketing Practitioner to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for an upcoming curriculum development project. In this freelance role, you will lead the rigorous quality, accuracy, and fidelity review of a five-course Coursera specialization titled Accelerate Business Growth & Performance with Meta Ads.
The course content is adapted from existing Meta webinars covering performance best practices, Ads Manager vs. boosted posts, partnership ads, cross-border sales strategy, and business ecosystem security. This is an active editing and validation role where you will review, refine, correct, and augment AI-drafted course content generated by Coursera's tools to ensure absolute platform currency, tactical growth accuracy, and learner engagement.
- Location: Remote (Global / US Preferred)
- Contract Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor
- Project Duration: Estimated execution across the development cycle
- Project Capacity: Total of ~60–80 hours allocated across the full 5-course specialization program
- System Requirements: SweetRush is a remote organization; all resources must be technically savvy, have a strong internet connection, be comfortable with virtual collaboration tools (Google Drive, Slack, Airtable), and be available for scheduled live alignment syncs.
$65.00 per hour (Dependent on depth of technical performance marketing experience; salary is negotiable)
Your Impact and ResponsibilitiesAs the primary technical authority for this specialization, you will ensure the curriculum accurately represents how marketers leverage Meta technologies to drive revenue growth, expand into international markets, collaborate with creators, and secure business assets. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be structured around three continuous review checkpoints per course:
- Checkpoint 1: Program Outline Review
- Review source webinars and supporting documents to evaluate generated outlines for logical flow, structural completeness, and sequencing.
- Attend live alignment calls with the Coursera and Learning Design teams to validate content at the structural level.
- Checkpoint 2: Full Course Atlas (Script) Review
- Conduct a deep-dive review of a Proof-of-Concept (POC) course to establish the standard for tone, depth, accuracy, and structure.
- Review remaining course atlases (.doc format via Google Drive) to ensure they mirror the POC standards and flag course-specific errors.
- Checkpoint 3: On-Platform Final Review
- Access the live Coursera staging environment to end-to-end test all interactive components, dialogues, and logic triggers.
- Validate final uploads against source webinars for absolute factual accuracy, brand alignment, and completeness.
- Continuous Quality Assurance & Content Creation
- Source-Fidelity Checking: Scrutinize all elements to ensure absolutely zero hallucinated or drifted Meta product claims.
- Growth & Optimization Workflows: Verify that setup steps for Ads Manager campaigns, partnership ads, cross-border parameters, and security configurations reflect the current live UI.
- Copywriting: Draft and refine XDP copy for product accuracy; review Donobu QA reports as required.
- Screencasting: Record high-quality technical screencasts following provided audio/room setup guidelines if needed to complement written text.
- Paid Social Growth Specialist: Current, hands-on platform or agency-side experience managing Meta advertising campaigns for customer acquisition and revenue scaling.
- Seniority: Mid-to-senior level practitioner (5+ years of dedicated experience in paid social, performance marketing, growth marketing, or digital advertising strategy).
- Industry Context: Background working in agencies, in-house e-commerce, retail, DTC, global marketing, or multi-market advertising environments where digital expansion drives revenue.
- Meta Platform Mastery: Direct, current experience with Meta Ads Manager, Meta Advantage automation features, direct response campaign optimization, partnership ads, and business security frameworks.
- Live Active Access to: Meta Ads Manager, Meta Ads reporting, Meta Business Suite / Business Manager, Meta Advantage tool environments, and boosted post native setup workflows.
- Instructional Awareness: Ability to evaluate if content is properly scoped for an entry-to-mid career marketing manager or analyst audience (ensuring platform execution steps are clear and appropriate).
- Account simplification, creative diversification, and automated direct response performance frameworks.
- Partnership ad creation workflows, partner permissions infrastructure, and branded content advertising guidelines.
- International campaign planning factors, cross-border targeting mechanics, and market comparison variables.
- Meta business asset security features, administrative permission management, and fraud prevention/brand misuse concepts.
- Holding an active Meta Certified Media Buying Professional or Meta Certified Digital Marketing Associate credential.
- Hands-on or live environment familiarity with cross-border setups or creator collaboration tools within Meta.
- Familiarity with broader analytics ecosystems such as GA4 or corporate revenue reporting tools that connect ad performance directly to downstream business outcomes.
- Prior experience working within the Meta Blueprint or Meta partner ecosystem.
- Familiarity working with Google Drive (.doc) editing workflows and Airtable/Donobu QA feedback tracking.
