About The Role

We are looking for an Account Executive that focuses on the SMB segment to join the Zoo team to drive a best-in-class sales process to achieve growth targets for the company. The person selected for this role will work closely with Zoo’s Director of Sales to drive demonstrable grass roots sales growth for our paid SaaS tiers. You will be responsible for proactively sourcing, qualifying, and closing leads from our existing userbase, as well as going outbound. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in tech sales and prior experience owning an end-to-end sales process or excellent performance as an SDR/BDR. Knowledge of the hardware design ecosystem and prior experience collaborating with engineering teams on technical SaaS products are a plus.You will be expected to quickly develop a deep understanding of how customers can best utilize Zoo’s products.


What You’ll Do
  • Drive Zoo’s end-to-end SMB sales process from developing, managing, closing, and onboarding customers
  • Help build a solid operating cadence around pipeline, forecasting, deal review, sales execution, and customer onboarding
  • Identify and target new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and research
  • Lead engaging discovery meetings, uncovering customer needs and desired business value
  • Provide guidance and best practices to apply Zoo products and technologies to achieve customers' business goals
  • Partner with the Zoo team to translate prospect feedback into meaningful product insights
  • Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to continuously improve our sales approach and offerings

What You’ll Need
  • Demonstrated success as an SDR/BDR in SaaS/software sales with experience owning the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting, qualifying, demoing, negotiating, and closing independently
  • Experience working and closing SaaS deals in highly technical sales processes
  • Proven track record of consistently hitting quotas in prior roles
  • Experience independently building and refining early sales processes, documentation, creating pitch materials, sales collateral, business cases, ROI calculations, and pipeline management
  • Proven ability to gather and relay customer feedback to product and engineering teams
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity. Willing to wear multiple hats while being adaptable, proactive, and collaborative in a startup environment
  • Ability to develop and speak about ROI from a potential Zoo customer’s perspective and relate it to their business needs

Nice to Have
  • Prior startup experience influencing early-stage sales processes with highly technical products
  • Familiarity with CAD
  • Familiarity with HubSpot 

The salary range for this role is provided below. The final offer will depend on multiple factors including candidate experience, skills, expertise, and market data. Compensation may vary by geography. In addition to salary, we offer competitive equity as well as a full benefits package which may vary by geography as well.

Salary Range
$100,000$130,000 USD
