DUTIES, TASKS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comply with track protection limits and adhere to FRA regulations
  • Ability to drive fully loaded Gooseneck truck and trailer
  • Sort, grade and stack ties in predetermined location
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Problem solving within set standards
  • Operate a bobcat-tracked skid steer, secure and transport equipment
  • Heavy travel; 3-4 weeks at a time.

POSITION-SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong technical orientation skill set
  • Previous Railroad experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds
  • Focused, creative and critical thinking
  • Disciplined enough to work independently
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Knowledge with GPS locations, Google Maps, Geographical locations
