The SIU Specialist primary responsibility is to assist SIU investigators and claim adjusters with the investigation of claims, in a support capacity, with specialization in complex claims and medical provider inquiries.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
- Conducts background check on investigations
- Conducts social media checks
- Provides investigative support to SIU Investigators as needed
- Acts as liaison with other carriers for immunity requests
- Prepares documentation with the applicable Immunity and/or Arson statute to request information from other carriers
- Prepares claim files to provide to the National Insurance Crime Bureau or Department of Insurance
- Assist with various SIU Projects which requires a review of claim files and compilation and data analysis.
- Data entry on SIU/Subrogation claim files as needed
- Supports vendor vetting program and maintains approved vendor database
- Conducts Medical Provider and Clinic reviews/backgrounds
- Provides summary of medical records review
What are the requirements need for this position?
- 1+ years’ insurance experience and/or adjuster’s license or research field work experience
- 5 + years’ experience with MS Office products
- 5 + years’ Customer Service experience
- Proficient in knowledge of insurance claims handling processes preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer proficiency and good typing skills
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to manage sensitive information and confidential information
- Bilingual a plus
Pay Range:
$16.95 - $27.12
Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
