Backcountry is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Site Marketing Program Manager. In this role you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, brand awareness, and customer engagement. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the development and execution of marketing strategies across various channels, with a focus on digital channels. You will work closely with the pricing and buying teams to plan and coordinate campaigns in all steps of the Go-To-Market process. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as design, product, and sales to ensure brand consistency and effective communication. Your passion for the outdoors and understanding of the target audience will be essential in crafting impactful marketing initiatives that resonate with outdoor enthusiasts and drive conversions.
This role is challenging – above and beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, you’ll have a big role within a fast-paced team.
This position will report into the Ecommerce Director.
What you get to do every day:
- Drive the development and strategy of marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including our websites, social media, paid advertising, and content marketing, using data centric decision making.
- Manage the marketing communications calendar.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design and development, to ensure campaigns are executed seamlessly and meet business objectives.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscapes.
- Analyze campaign performance data and build a robust strategy for optimization, including ideating AB testing opportunities and seeing through to completion.
- Assist in the planning and execution of product launches and seasonal promotions.
- Utilize AI-powered marketing tools to automate campaign tasks, personalize content, and optimize digital advertising performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the role:
- 5+ years of digital marketing experience.
- Experience working with ambiguous data, working to find meaningful takeaways and make sound business decisions.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI-driven solutions (such as AI content creation, campaign automation, or analytics platforms) to enhance marketing effectiveness and efficiency.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team environment.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Looker, social media platforms, and email marketing platforms.
- Strong data analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
