Job Description 

As the Site Director , you will oversee all aspects of our on-site, afterschool programs, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for students. You will lead a team of instructors, direct daily operations and implement BAM! curriculum and policies. 

In this role, you will: 

  • Direct and guide on-site coaches in running afterschool STEM, Sports, and Arts programs and homework help. 
  • Train, and supervise staff/instructors. This includes leading team meetings and training on a weekly basis and meeting with BAM! leadership to oversee and continue programmatic and staff development. 
  • Plan, develop, implement and evaluate overall afterschool program, service and activities to ensure they meet stated objectives and student needs and interests. 
  • Compile regular reports reflecting all activities, attendance and participation.
  • Work with on-site coaches to ensure they follow BAM! curriculum and program policies.
  • Maintain safety protocols, including check-in/check-out procedures for program participants. 
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student behavior, academic progress and program updates. 
  • Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders and school administration
  • Serve as the primary liaison with school staff during program hours. 
  • Establish authority through effective leadership, communication, and patience.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Program Manager and school leadership. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Must be at least 21 years old 
  • At least two years of college coursework (48 semester units), an associate’s degree or higher, or proof of certification through a local assessment that meets the requirements of the "Every Student Succeeds Act".
  • At least 2–3 years of experience working with youth (K–8) 
  • At least 1–2 years of supervisory/management experience 
  • Passion for teaching and coaching, with effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the best practices in youth development program planning, curriculum development, methods of teaching, and evaluation. 
  • Strong attention to detail and efficient class management abilities. 
  • Must possess a current, government issued photo identification, such as a valid driver’s license or state ID, and have dependable transportation to travel to assigned program locations as needed.
  • Background check required 
  • Must hold a valid CPR/First Aid Certification or be willing to obtain one. 
  • Ability to lift and carry approximately 20-50 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodations. 

Details: 

  •  Wage: $35.00 / Hour
  •  Job Type: Part-Time 
  •  Availability required: September 21, 2026 / Monday through Thursday,
    • Mondays & Wednesdays between 1:30pm - 4:15pm PST
    • Tuesdays & Thursdays between 1:45pm - 4:15pm PST

Additional Availability:
          Candidates should be available for one Saturday session, possibly to be scheduled in December.
