The Opportunity
Serves as Worldwide U.S. Site Advisor for the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, San Diego, CA site location. The Site Advisor is responsible for both the Academic and Operational tasks of the Worldwide site including academic advising, budget, compliance, facility oversight, and University support (to include community relations). Works cooperatively with constituents from other departments and represents Worldwide Student Success Operations as a leader.
Coordinates with the Executive Director College of Aviation and the Senior Director, Site Operations, and Operations Manager Worldwide in determining yearly and monthly budgets, engagement and outreach activities in the community, routine compliance reviews, and University support. Works with Worldwide Advising leadership in the execution of academic policy and program changes for awareness. Always promotes a positive University image. This position supports and promotes excellence in student services and community interaction at every opportunity throughout all U.S. locations. Participates as a team member and supports our team environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide academic advising and guidance to prospective and current students regarding program offerings, degree requirements, and university policies.
Support student success through coaching, mentoring, and ongoing academic support.
Assist students with course selection, registration processes, and academic planning.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate student records in institutional systems.
Conduct outreach to students to promote engagement, retention, and persistence.
Collaborate with faculty, academic departments, and university partners to support student needs.
Participate in recruitment, orientation, and enrollment initiatives as needed.
Deliver presentations and workshops related to academic programs and student resources.
Respond to student inquiries and provide timely, accurate information.
Maintain knowledge of institutional policies, procedures, and academic program updates.
Support special projects and initiatives related to student services and site operations.
Ensure compliance with university policies, FERPA regulations, and accreditation standards.

Required Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field is strongly preferred.
Associate’s degree with relevant professional experience will be considered.
Demonstrated experience working in higher education, academic advising, student services, or a related functional area.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
Experience providing guidance, coaching, or academic support to students.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other standard office technologies.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
