Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Simulation Software Engineer to join our talented and rapidly growing engineering team. Your expertise will contribute directly to Revel's simulation engine used to validate automation and operator control of high-criticality hardware, enabling unprecedented levels of reliability and performance in hardware testing. You will own complex engineering challenges and drive the quality and direction of our simulation platform.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, reliable simulation software.

  • Develop and maintain the infrastructure used to configure and execute simulations.

  • Work with simulation software users to develop new features and models, and to improve user experience.

  • Collaborate with compiler engineers, frontend engineers, and product teams to integrate simulation into the broader Revel ecosystem.

  • Ensure code quality through rigorous testing, peer reviews, and continuous improvement practices.

  • Address complex engineering challenges in simulation, providing innovative, pragmatic solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.

  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.

  • Strong proficiency in C++ and/or Rust.

  • Proficiency in modern software engineering practices, including testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.

  • Strong understanding of physics and applied mathematics, including thermodynamics and fluid dynamics.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python.

  • Proficiency in modern web application design and best practices.

  • Knowledge of numerical methods, differential equations, and integrators used in physical system simulation and modeling.

  • Knowledge of safety-critical or mission-critical software development processes.
