As a Senior Shopify Backend Engineer, you'll design backend functionalities, evaluate features with architects, and collaborate with teams on requirements and data flows.
Join Alabama Solutions to work on it's international BU HNDevs, as a Senior Shopify Backend Engineer, where you will be instrumental in shaping and enhancing our backend systems to ensure seamless integration with Shopify.
This full-time role requires your expertise in developing scalable solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams during East Standard Time (EST) hours.
This is a 1099 position for a contract duration of six months.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing robust backend functionalities for Shopify.
- Analyzing and documenting the impact of new features on business processes.
- Working closely with product owners to gather requirements for customizations.
- Collaborating with data engineers to evaluate impacts on data flows in downstream systems.
- Assessing performance implications of new features with architects.
- Managing the release schedule and maintaining project calendars.
- 4+ years as a Backend Developer on applications
- Communication: Fluent writing and speaking in English
- Good organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset
Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge of TypeScript/Node JS.
- Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
- Excellent understanding of API (Rest, GraphQL).
- Good understanding of Shopify Plus
- Good understanding of Public and Custom Shopify Apps
- Good understanding of SQL DB.
- Good understanding of GIT.
- Good Understanding of the backend server.
- Good documentation skills.
- Bonus to have a strong background in web-based eCommerce applications.
- Bonus on having experience in other programming languages, such as Python/Ruby/PHP.
- Remote Work and Flexibility: We offer the option to work remotely, allowing you to manage your time and achieve a healthy work-life balance.
- Full-time position as a contractor (40 USD hr. - 50 USD hr.), depending on the experience and the results at the technical evaluation).
