OVERVIEW:

The SEO Specialist is responsible for partnering with internal teams and external vendors to implement SEO strategies to drive Natural Search traffic to DICK’S Sporting Goods web properties. They will work alongside the SEO Senior Analyst to implement organic marketing techniques & analyze the website for improvements. In addition to on-page optimizations, she/he will manage SEO projects during the year ranging from Social Media, Local Search, Mobile, UAT project management, or vendor management. They are expected to stay up-to-date on the digital landscape & use industry knowledge to create a fluid & dynamic optimization strategy across DSG, Golf Galaxy & Field & Stream.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze web and business metrics from multiple sources, using data to develop customer-facing strategies and ensure performance is on track

  • Create & analyze reporting to strategize next-steps based on results of data.

  • Responsible for identifying traffic-driving keywords, tracking keyword rankings across multiple divisions & will work in multiple SEO tools to monitor search engine fluctuations.

  • Manage SEO optimizations and execute strategy for multiple divisions between internal (Site Merchandising, Analytics, SEM, Marketing) and external (SearchDex, Brandify, Branding Brand) partners, providing priorities, direction to external parterns and performance reports and subject matter expertise to internal partners.

  • Help to develop and execute channel roadmap. Make customer-facing decisions unassisted

  • Serve as subject matter expert for the Natural Search channel across assigned divisions.

  • Work with cross-functional teams including Site Merchandising, Buying, Content, Social, Local, Product Finding Methods, Tools Team, IT & Front End Development. Communicate SEO best-practices and strategies to business partners and upper management

  • Manage the lifecycle of and own multiple SEO projects throughout the year, ensuring tasks are on track, and driving from start to finish

  • Lead meetings with cross-functional business teams to present data and SEO dashboards.

  • Opportunities to present data and strategies to senior leadership.

  • Prioritize work for the SEO Content Specialist to support optimization strategies based on data analysis, business trends, and seasonality 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree with Marketing or Communications preferred. Other degrees considered

  • 1 - 3 Years Required experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

  • Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Coremetrics, or similar experience

  • Search Dex Verdandi or similar experience

  • Websphere Commerce or other content management systems

  • Experience working with web retailer on Search Engine Optimization and other digital marketing campaigns (e.g. SEM, CSE Knowledge of Website optimization best practices - Strong familiarity with search engine algorithms, keyword searched, and SEO software tools. - Knowledge of Internet-related technologies, new media, and current web trends including analytics and social media

Targeted Pay Range: $47,300.00 - $78,900.00. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
