The Role: You, the SEO Channel Lead, will own a portfolio of 10–15 client accounts. You will operate as the executive-level SEO voice across your book of business, not managing every deliverable, but owning the C-suite relationship, proving long-term ROI to senior stakeholders, and ensuring the account team is running toward the right goals. Though you will not manage direct reports, you will be the strategic authority your clients trust and the quality bar your account teams are held to
You’re addicted to growth and development and it shows through the success you create for the people that surround you. Could this be love? Maybe.
Role Highlights
- You will be a key player in growing divisional revenue, primarily through retaining your portfolio of clients, with a healthy dose of up-selling and cross-selling when appropriate
- You will build and maintain strong client relationships rooted in empathy, transparency, with the desire to help them exceed their goals
- You will own the executive relationship on your accounts, making inroads with CMOs and C-suite stakeholders, translating 5-year SEO and GEO ROI into terms that resonate at the leadership level, and ensuring Seer's strategic value is visible above the account team layer.
- You will actively identify upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities across your portfolio — partnering with Paid Media, Creative, and Client Engagement to bring integrated growth recommendations to clients at the right moment.
- You will mentor junior team members, giving them support on their work as needed
- You'll set the bar for how Seer wins in search, across SEO and GEO , and translate that into direction for account teams rather than executing it yourself. You bring business sense to the portfolio, not just channel expertise.
- You will help define the SEO team of tomorrow, hopping in on sourcing, interviewing, and selecting new members for your awesome team
- You will drive thought leadership through sharing knowledge about the latest industry trends, tests and trials, both with Seer’s clients and the larger digital marketing community
- You understand that AI has a critical role to play in how we service clients, so you’ll leverage new tools to drive efficiencies in not only your own workflows, but test and share learnings for the benefit of the greater team

You drive integrated strategies, leveraging AI where appropriate to drive efficiencies, measuring the effectiveness (rankings, traffic, conversions, revenue) and always backing up your decisions with data
- You have hands-on GEO experience, you understand how AI Overviews, LLM-powered discovery, and generative search interfaces differ from traditional SEO, and you have tested and implemented strategies to improve visibility across both.
- Superb client management skills. You drive conversation with C-level executives comfortably, educating and empowering those who don’t “get” digital, while always connecting tactics to business goals
- You have strong conflict resolution skills and it shows through your ability to diffuse high-intensity situations for both clients and team members
- You have experience navigating client organizations at the C-suite level, making inroads with CMOs, framing SEO and GEO impact in business terms (revenue, pipeline, lifetime value), and earning the trust of senior stakeholders who may have limited digital marketing context.
- Consistent track record in seeing opportunities for account growth and driving increased revenue
90 Day Goals
- By Day 30, you will have completed division training and begun to support at least 2-4 impactful client initiatives
- By Day 60, you will be up and running at full capacity, supporting a full book of business
- By Day 90, you be ready to expand your portfolio by kicking off 1-2 new clients

- Change management is difficult and you struggle with adapting to new tools and processes
