Sr. Web Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Web Developer to join our marketing web development team at Cloudera. This role is central to the development and maintenance of our enterprise web platform, driving critical marketing and business initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the Adobe Experience Manager platform and modern Java development, with a focus on building high-performance, scalable, and secure web solutions. You will be instrumental in helping us to define technical direction, collaborating across teams, and ensuring the delivery of world-class web experiences.

As the Sr. Web Developer you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure applications and components using Java, OSGi, and the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform.

  • Implement custom AEM components, templates, and workflows to support marketing web initiatives.

  • Integrate AEM with other systems, analytics platforms, and third-party web services.

  • Collaborate with fellow web developers, designers, business stakeholders, and other internal teams to define technical requirements and ensure high-quality delivery.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex production issues across various AEM environments.

  • Ensure adherence to established coding standards, performance metrics, and security guidelines.

We’re excited about you if you have: (Minimum Qualifications): 

  • 6+ years of experience in Java development, with at least 3 years dedicated to developing and implementing solutions on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.x or later).

  • Expertise in OSGi, JCR, Sling models, and AEM core concepts.

  • Deep understanding of AEM architecture, including dispatcher, caching, and performance optimization.

  • Experience with code versioning tools such as Git and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

  • Proficient with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to effectively support integration with client-side code.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

You may also have: (Preferred Qualifications): 

  • Experience with other Adobe Experience Cloud solutions (e.g., Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, Adobe Data Collection).

  • Experience with cloud-based AEM deployments (AEM as a Cloud Service).

  • Experience leading technical design and mentoring junior developers.

The expected base salary range for this role in California is $118K- 140K USD. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location.
