Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Voice Engineer to support our global Teams Phone migration project. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping the customer team with delivery of the new platform in all phases of the project.

Role Overview

The Senior Voice Engineer focused on Teams Phone is a highly specialized role responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of telephony systems within Microsoft Teams. This position requires extensive knowledge of telephony infrastructure, network protocols, and Microsoft Teams capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement telephony solutions within the Microsoft Teams environment.
  • Configure and manage Direct Routing and Calling Plans in Teams.
  • Design and implement telephony solutions within the Microsoft Teams environment.
  • Provide engineering support for voice infrastructure
  • Work closely with regional network engineers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless telephony operations.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to manage telephony services and support.
  • Configuration and deployment of Teams Phone: Implement the migration plan in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue resolution: Offer intensive care and support pre and post-migration to ensure smooth transition and immediate resolution of any issues.
  • Ensure system reliability, security, and performance.
  • Aid in additional responsibilities as requested by the customer  Program Manager and Engineering leads.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in unified communications, with a focus on voice solutions such as Cisco, Avaya, and Teams Phone.
  • Knowledge of Oracle SBC, Cisco Call manager, and Avaya systems a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English (Mandatory).
  • Previous experience implementing cloud-based telephony systems preferred.
