About Nerdio

At Nerdio, our mission is to simplify the lives of IT professionals and maximize their Microsoft cloud and end user computing investments.

We support organizations of all sizes looking to deploy, manage, and cost-optimize native Microsoft technologies. We partner with Enterprises and Managed Service Providers all over the world to add value on top of their existing native Microsoft investments like Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows 365, and Microsoft Intune.

Created in 2016, Nerdio has always taken a market-leading and collaborative approach to cloud deployment and management. In fact, our product roadmap is greatly influenced by the regular feedback we receive from having seen companies deploy AVD into production environments several thousand times using Nerdio technology.

Today, Nerdio is used in over 50 countries by more than 15,000 organizations of every size and vertical. We’re committed to delivering exceptional service and support, which starts with identifying and supporting the best staff possible.

We are a fast-moving, nimble company looking for individuals who are collaborative, empathetic, driven and who love to move at the speed of light. If you want to be part of the AVD transformation that Microsoft and Nerdio are leading, then we want to speak with you.

About the role

Nerdio is looking for an AI-forward Senior Video Specialist to own the creation, programming, and growth of video content across Nerdio's channels, with LinkedIn and YouTube as our strategic centerpieces. In this role, you'll produce high-quality video that educates, engages, and builds brand affinity, from product explainers and customer stories to social-first short-form content. You'll also shape the YouTube content strategy that turns those videos into a consistent driver of awareness, audience growth, and pipeline support.

You'll be hands-on across the full production lifecycle (scripting, filming, editing, publishing, optimizing) and equally comfortable with the strategic side: planning content pillars, optimizing for discoverability, analyzing video performance, and continuously sharpening what we make based on what's working.

What you'll do

  • Own end-to-end video production for Nerdio across formats including explainers, demos, customer stories, event recaps, thought leadership, and social-first content.
  • Lead Nerdio's YouTube content strategy, including content pillars, channel programming, and publishing calendar, aligning output to top-, mid-, and bottom-of-funnel goals.
  • Optimize every YouTube upload for discoverability and retention, including titles, thumbnails, metadata, and other YouTube optimization elements.
  • Monitor video performance across YouTube, LinkedIn, and other channels (watch time, retention, engagement, and related metrics), and translate insights into ongoing improvements to format and packaging.
  • Produce short-form video optimized for YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, and other relevant channels, maintaining a high production cadence without sacrificing quality.
  • Leverage AI to improve the speed, quality, and scalability of video creation across scripting, editing, thumbnails, transcription, repurposing, and metadata.
  • Collaborate with PMM, demand gen, brand, and events teams to develop video that supports campaign goals, product launches, and awareness initiatives.
  • Support NerdioCon and other major events with pre-event promotional video, on-site coverage, and post-event recap and repurposed content.
  • Manage Nerdio's video asset library, ensuring content is organized, accessible, and easily reusable across teams and channels.
  • Partner with the social, community, influencer, and paid media teams to extend reach and amplify key video moments across owned and earned channels.
  • Stay current on video production trends, YouTube algorithm changes, and platform best practices, and continuously test new formats, hooks, and packaging.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Film/Media Production, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in video production, ideally in a B2B technology environment.
  • Strong video production skills, with proficiency in editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent) and familiarity with filming equipment, lighting, and audio.
  • Demonstrated experience programming or growing a YouTube channel, including hands-on work with titles, thumbnails, metadata, and YouTube Analytics.
  • Strong storytelling instincts and the ability to translate technical topics into engaging, accessible video.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple productions and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset, comfortable using platform data to measure performance and inform content decisions.
  • Comfort with and willingness to use AI tools to maximize impact and efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with motion graphics or animation tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
  • Familiarity with IT, cloud, or enterprise technology topics.
  • Experience supporting live event video coverage and streaming production.
  • Experience optimizing video for SEO and search-driven discovery.
  • Background working alongside community-driven content or influencer programs.

Benefits and Incentives

  • Competitive Base and Incentive Plan
  • Stock Options
  • Health and Welfare Plans*
  • Life and Disability Plans*
  • Retirement Plan*
  • Unlimited Flexible Paid Time Off, including your birthday off!
  • Collaborative Team Culture

* Benefits for international employees, outside the US, vary by country.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
