Position Summary

The SVP of Business Development is responsible for leading Theoria’s business development strategy, execution, and revenue growth. This role is critical in scaling the company by optimizing BD operations, expanding market reach, and holding the BD team accountable for aggressive sales performance. The SVP will directly manage VPs of Business Development, Regional BD Directors, BD Managers, and BD Associates, enforcing a strict, performance-based culture aligned with Theoria’s values.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales Execution

  • Develops and executes a structured sales strategy that supports Theoria’s 3/5/10-year revenue growth goals.
  • Leads a metrics-driven, high-performance BD team to consistently exceed revenue targets.
  • Ensures Theoria expands its footprint in post-acute partnerships.
  • Aligns business development efforts with strategic partnerships


Leadership & Team Performance Management

  • Directly manages and holds accountable all VPs of Business Development, Regional BD Directors, BD Managers, and BD Associates.
  • Enforces strict sales KPIs. 
  • Implements weekly performance reviews and coaching sessions to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Partners with CGO to refine BD strategies based on market feedback, performance data, and expansion priorities.

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in business development leadership, with a proven track record of scaling revenue in high-growth environments.
  • Experience in healthcare, SNFs, post-acute, ACOs, or value-based care preferred, but open to high-growth healthcare SaaS or tech-enabled services backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and scale a BD team in a hypergrowth setting.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $200,000 - $350,000 (commensurate with experience).
  • Aggressive, performance-based bonuses tied to revenue milestones.
  • Multi-year retention bonuses available to reward long-term contributions.
