About the Opportunity
StubHub is seeking a passionate and strategic Senior User Experience Researcher to lead key research initiatives that shape the future of how fans discover, buy, and sell tickets on StubHub. At StubHub, our mission is to be the global destination for live events, delivering an intuitive, seamless experience that anticipates what fans want before they even ask. UX Research is at the heart of this mission, ensuring that the voice of the user drives every decision we make. As the Senior User Experience Researcher, you’ll play a critical role in shaping this experience by uncovering deep insights into our users’ needs, behaviors, and motivations and transforming those insights into clear guidance for business, product, and design decisions.
Location: Hybrid (3 days in office/2 days remote) – New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA
- Define and prioritize research questions that unlock business growth and product innovation.
- Design and lead end-to-end research initiatives spanning generative discovery to evaluate usability testing.
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights to build a holistic understanding of user needs, behaviors, and motivations.
- Partner closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to translate research findings into actionable strategies and design decisions.
- Measure and monitor how product improvements influence user behavior, satisfaction, and sentiment over time.
- Develop and scale research with best practices, frameworks, and methodological toolkits across the organization.
- Empower cross-functional teams to conduct high-quality, independent research through mentorship, training, and shared resources.
What You've Done:
- 5-8 years of User Research Experience, with experience in a lead role for a large product area
- Bachelor's degree in human-computer interaction, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience designing and executing research using a variety of methods (e.g., usability testing, interviews, contextual inquiry, surveys, diary studies).
- Deep understanding of the strengths, limitations, and appropriate applications of different research methodologies throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate insights into clear, compelling narratives that influence product strategy and decision-making.
- Experience defining, measuring, and tracking product quality and user experience metrics is a strong plus.

The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
