Who We Are

Minty is a modern ecommerce platform built to create better outcomes for both businesses and shoppers. We help businesses answer shopper questions, prevent lost revenue, and recover missed opportunities — while growing and engaging a trusted shopper network through Minty. apps.

We recently unified our products and brand to create a flywheel between business growth and shopper value. Our next phase requires a Senior UI/UX Designer who can bring clarity, structure, and momentum to a complex product ecosystem — translating user needs, business goals, and technical constraints into intuitive, cohesive experiences.

We value curiosity, clarity, data-driven decision-making, and ownership. We move fast, test often, and expect leaders to build systems that scale beyond themselves.

Who You Are

You’re a versatile Senior UI/UX designer with a strong portfolio and a solid grasp of the full design process. You love turning complex ideas into simple, engaging user experiences. You communicate clearly, stay up to date with modern design practices, and work seamlessly with product and engineering teams to bring ideas to life.

Responsibilities
  • Own and drive the UI/UX strategy for Minty’s product experience.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and polished UI designs.
  • Develop and maintain Minty’s design system for consistency across the platform.
  • Design intuitive UI components and responsive layouts.
  • Test and iterate on UI elements to optimize usability and performance.
  • Partner closely with engineers to ensure smooth design implementation.
  • Use user feedback and research insights to inform design decisions.
Experience
  • 5–8 years of UI/UX or product design experience.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing web and mobile work.
  • Proficiency with tools like Figma and Miro.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS/SCSS, and platform patterns for iOS and Android.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially with tech teams.
  • Knowledge of current UI/UX trends and accessibility best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Bonus: Experience with ecommerce or consumer-facing digital products.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
