Aqua Finance is looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to join our growing team! In this role, you'll lead the creation of intuitive, engaging, and user-centered digital experiences across our web and mobile applications. Working closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and IT developers, you'll transform complex business requirements into elegant, user-friendly solutions that drive exceptional customer experiences. From research and wireframes to prototypes and final designs, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of Aqua's digital products while championing usability, accessibility, and modern design best practices.

Essential Functions

  • Lead the design of intuitive, user-centered web and mobile applications aligned with business objectives and user needs.

  • Create wireframes, user flows, user journeys, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to effectively communicate concepts and functionality.

  • Collaborate closely with IT development teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate designs into high-quality digital products.

  • Translate complex business requirements into clear, thoughtful, and user-friendly software design solutions.

  • Advocate for the user by applying UX research, usability principles, and accessibility standards throughout the design process.

  • Recommend and implement UI/UX best practices, design system enhancements, and user flow improvements to continuously elevate the user experience.

  • Stay current on emerging design trends, tools, and technologies, incorporating innovative ideas that improve product usability and customer satisfaction.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or commensurate work experience required

  • 7 years of experience in software product design, user experience (UX), and user interface (UI) design required

  • 3 years of experience using design software such as Figma and other modern design and prototyping tools required

  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital solutions.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design methodology, problem-solving, and successful digital product design.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering polished, high-quality work.

  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, visualize, talk, hear, and handle or touch objects or controls. The employee may occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.

This position is an office-based position where you must be able to sit for long periods of time. The employee will be working on a computer 90% of the time.
