We are looking for a Senior Tools Engineer with a strong customer focus for a AAA title. The Senior Tools Engineer will assist in developing studio-wide tooling. Workflow and iteration speed are of high priority to our studio, and a successful candidate will have a meaningful impact on the production of the game. In this role, you will work with everyone in the studio providing outstanding tools and processes needed to deliver the best game possible and improve developer quality of life. 
 

Responsibilities: 

  • Break down features, building plans and assessing dependencies. 
  • Work with the production team and engineering leadership to schedule those plans. 
  • Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to provide holistic solutions with an emphasis on achieving GOTY. 
  • Own features, and small-scale systems, driving them to meet the needs of those holistic solutions. 
  • Architect, implement, and maintain production quality C/C++ for systems, features, tools, and workflows. 
  • Analyze different approaches to solve problems and discuss the tradeoffs between them. 
  • Write and maintain documentation related to features, tools, and workflows. 

Requirements & Skills: 

  • Worked on at least one AAA game or equivalent complexity   
  • Solid knowledge of C++ 
  • Strong math skills 
  • Unreal Engine experience 

Qualities: 

  • Good communication skills visually, verbally and written 
  • Work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Ability to resolve conflicts 

TNM considers a number of factors when determining each role's base pay range, including industry benchmarks, location, experience, and other job specific skills. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for other incentive compensation including equity and profit share. The estimated base pay range for this role is U.S. only and not applicable for locations outside of the U.S.

The estimated base pay range for this role is: $160,000 - $200,000
