Senior Technology Project Manager 3

As a Senior Technology Project Manager, you will be responsible for partnering with the Office of the CTO to execute large, enterprise-wide programs and provide delivery leadership across multiple concurrent initiatives in an agile environment at our Costa Mesa, CA office. You will own outcomes end-to-end—driving alignment across teams that don’t report to you, surfacing tradeoffs, and ensuring executive stakeholders have the clarity they need to make decisions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise technology programs (Infrastructure, Information Security, and/or Application Development) from intake through launch and stabilization.
  • Define and own integrated project planning across multiple workstreams: scope, milestones, critical path, resourcing, and delivery metrics.
  • Drive cross-team dependency management across engineering, product, information security, operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Establish and run project governance, including steering committee cadence, stakeholder alignment, decision logs, escalation paths, and RACI as needed.
  • Own and actively manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), ensuring proactive mitigation and timely escalation.
  • Facilitate execution in an Agile / hybrid environment, removing blockers, aligning priorities, and ensuring teams deliver against commitments.
  • Deliver concise, executive-ready communication: status, risks, tradeoffs, and decision requests to senior leadership.
  • Manage change effectively by controlling scope and timelines, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring impacts are understood and approved.
  • Maintain high-quality project artifacts (plans, timelines, RAID logs, meeting notes, action items, milestone reviews, launch readiness).
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery operations and contribute to the continuous improvement of project management practices across the organization.

What You’ll Need:

  • Extensive project/program management experience delivering technical initiatives in enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated track record leading large, complex programs with multiple cross-functional teams and significant dependencies.
  • Experience managing delivery in one or more of the following domains: Enterprise Infrastructure, Information Security, Application Development.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority, drive alignment, and move stakeholders toward timely decisions.
  • Strong executive communication skills—able to translate complexity into clear tradeoffs, risk posture, and action plans.
  • Advanced project discipline: integrated schedules, critical path thinking, RAID management, change control, and governance.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data and delivery metrics to drive accountability and course-correct.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and adapting quickly as priorities shift.
  • Proficiency with common delivery tools such as Jira/Confluence, Smartsheet/MS Project, and collaboration tools (Teams/Slack).
  • A “Can do” work ethic and desire to drive results.
  • Preferred (not required): PMP, PgMP, CSM/PSM, SAFe, or equivalent experience; vendor management and compliance/security program delivery are a plus.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
