ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY.... (Ability to work Remote) 

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Technical Writer to join our Technical Enablement team. As a Senior Technical Writer you will develop technical enablement resources for all audiences, including our internal professional services team and our external customers and partners. The content resources you create will help ensure the success of our implementation projects and help customers use our product. 

The ideal candidate is skilled at collaborating with various functions to extract key information and present it in an accessible format. You are curious and comfortable asking questions, a self-starter, problem solver, and take initiative. You will help develop

strategy, standards, processes, and procedures for developing technical documentation at Iron Mountain. 

To be successful in this role, you will need to: 

● Be curious and not be afraid to ask questions. 

● Take complex technical information and translate it into easy to understand content. 

● Ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. 

● Be a user advocate. 

● Collaborate closely with technical SMEs and manage projects with multiple contributors. 

● Communicate clearly and frequently with management and stakeholders and demonstrate strong writing, project management, and organizational skills

● Adapt to rapidly changing project timelines and deliverables. 

● Be creative, innovative, and resourceful. Take initiative proactively.

● Identify user personas. 

● Manage and prioritize work independently. 

Responsibilities 

● Independently write and edit technically accurate, high-quality content.

● Assess core personas and their motivations and develop the appropriate content to support them. 

● Determine the clearest and most logical way to present product information for user comprehension. 

● Act as user advocate in the creation and review of UX content. 

● Generate innovative ideas for content development and delivery.

● Collaborate with subject-matter experts, including product managers, software developers, professional services, and partners to gain an understanding of topics and user and content needs, create content for documentation and user interfaces, and help define product language and terminology. 

● Maintain and update content as the product evolves. 

● Implement content feedback channels to identify and solve problems via documentation. 

● Provide mentorship to other writers. 

● Contribute to defining language styles, including the look, feel, mood, and voice for all content types. 

● Contribute to departmental strategy, processes, standards, and procedures.

● Mentor more junior members of the team. 

Qualifications 

● 7+ years technical writing experience for a SaaS/PaaS company.

● Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing/Communication, or related field.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 

● Willingness to take on new challenges and build on current skills.

● Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills. 

● Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter. 

● Ability to edit, write, and revise all technical material for consistency and accuracy. 

● Passion to learn and understand software implementation, API integration, and SaaS delivery workflows. 

● Proficiency with technical writing tools, Paligo a plus. 

● Knowledge of server-oriented architectures and web platform applications with the ability to interact with engineers with APIs and REST services topics.

● Experience documenting APIs a plus. 

● Working knowledge of AI, AI Agents, machine learning (ML), ML data preparation techniques, and/or machine learning models a plus. 

● Familiarity with content delivery platforms a plus.
