As the Robotics TPM you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering and operations, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, strategic program management, and the ability to drive efficiency in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

You will interact and engage directly with our autonomous airside vehicle and our onsite engineering and operations team. Your role will be pivotal in (1) ensuring the onsite engineering teams are operating at maximum effectiveness and efficiency, while taking into account our internal and external customer needs, and in (2) developing engineering development plans, accompanied with deliverables, milestones, and resource needs for the engineering's global operation.

The role offers the unique opportunity to work very closely with our system and experience it in real-world operation, as well as to help the development of a market-defining enterprise product that combines autonomous vehicle technology with a robotics-as-a-service (RaaS) business model.

This role will work closely with our VP of Engineering, our Engineering Leads, and our Operations Leads.

  • Utilize project management tools like Jira, Asana, or equivalent to track progress, manage tasks, and report on project status.

  • Facilitate regular status meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives to drive accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Proactively identify and resolve issues, risks, or roadblocks that could impact project success.

  • Develop and document standardized processes to improve team efficiency and project outcomes.

  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project objectives.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends in robotics and program management methodologies to bring best practices to the team.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.

  • 3+ years of experience in project or program management within a technical or engineering environment.

  • Basic data analytics skills for effort estimation, KPI definitions, etc.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Must be able to pass federal background checks and receive and maintain issuance of an airport security badge

Preferred:

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
