About the role

Chartis is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to oversee the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of complex digital programs that integrate content, data, and technology.  This role requires deep experience managing web, martech, and platform development initiatives—especially Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or other enterprise CMS projects—while driving collaboration between technical, creative, and strategic teams.

You will work closely with client stakeholders, solution architects, and cross-functional Chartis teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of projects that power AI-ready, high-performance digital experiences. The ideal candidate combines strong technical fluency with excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

This is a Temp-to-Perm role, starting at 20 hours per week, moving to 40 hours in 2026. Must be based in the US.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex technical projects, including AEM implementations, CMS migrations, API integrations, and data platform enhancements.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison to translate business objectives into technical execution plans and clear, measurable deliverables.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, UX designers, and data engineers to ensure project requirements are accurately captured and delivered.
  • Define project scopes, timelines, dependencies, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Manage and facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, retrospectives) to maintain project momentum and transparency.
  • Partner with QA and DevOps teams to ensure deployments meet quality, performance, and security standards.
  • Coordinate with internal SEO/AIO/GEO, analytics, and performance marketing specialists to ensure that all technical deliverables support visibility, discoverability, and measurement goals.
  • Implement consistent documentation, reporting, and communication frameworks across client and internal teams.
  • Proactively identify challenges and opportunities to improve delivery efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Support business development efforts by providing technical scoping, delivery timelines, and solution insights for proposals and RFPs.
  • Conduct post-launch evaluations and establish processes for optimization and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field).
  • 5-7+ years of digital project management or technical program management experience.
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise CMS implementations (AEM, Drupal, Sitecore, or similar).
  • Familiarity with AEM architecture, workflows, content authoring, templates, and integrations.
  • Strong understanding of MarTech ecosystems, including analytics, tag management, personalization, and CRM integration.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across engineering, UX/design, content, and marketing.
  • Demonstrated success managing projects that integrate multiple technologies (e.g., CMS, DAM, CDP, API services, and marketing automation platforms).
  • Working knowledge of Agile and hybrid project management frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and discuss development architecture, APIs, and data pipelines at a high level.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Suite, Google Workspace, and project financial tracking tools.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Cloud, GA4, Optimizely, WordPress, or Shopify a plus.
  • Bonus: experience supporting AI-Search (AIO/GEO) or data-driven optimization initiatives

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
