About the Role

OpenLoop is looking for a Senior Technical Program Owner to join our team remotely or at HQ in Des Moines, IA. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategy, execution, and success of high-impact technical initiatives across OpenLoop. This role requires a unique blend of program management expertise, technical depth, and cross-functional leadership to align teams, remove roadblocks, and deliver measurable outcomes.

The Senior, TPO will partner closely with Engineering, Product, Operations, Compliance, and Learning & Development to ensure new programs are not only executed effectively but also fully supported with scalable training and enablement.

What You'll Do

  • Define vision, goals, and success metrics for technical programs that align with OpenLoop’s business strategy.
  • Own program roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and ensure delivery on time and within scope.
  • Lead cross-functional planning and execution across engineering, product, design, compliance, and operations.
  • Act as the single point of accountability for technical program delivery and outcomes.
  • Manage risk identification, mitigation strategies, and dependency resolution across multiple teams.
  • Translate complex technical details into business impacts and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Provide clear, regular reporting and program updates to executive leadership.
  • Partner with engineering leads on solution design, system architecture, and technical trade-offs.
  • Align stakeholders on priorities, resource allocation, and program timelines.
  • Coordinate with Learning and Development to design and deliver training for new programs, including building documentation and enablement artifacts for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive a culture of operational excellence, process improvement, and continuous learning across programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience in technical program management, product ownership, or related roles within a high-growth startup, B2B SaaS, or healthcare/healthtech environment.
  • Strong technical acumen, with the ability to understand APIs, integrations, and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Proven success in owning large-scale cross-functional technical initiatives from strategy through delivery.
  • Experience working in regulated industries (healthcare preferred) and comfort navigating compliance-driven environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, business-relevant updates.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills across executive, technical, and non-technical teams.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, OKRs, and roadmap planning.
  • Experience building training programs and enablement artifacts in partnership with L&D or similar functions is highly desirable.
Remote Salary Range
$112,000$130,000 USD
