Our Technical Program Managers lead programs and initiatives across the division from concept to market. We align product, engineering, and business teams to exceed the expectations of our customers. We are relied on by leaders across the organization to execute on critical programs with high business impact.

Technical Program Managers are key contributors to Akamai's success. You will be responsible for leading projects and developing processes that enable us to measure and improve performance resulting in improved customer satisfaction.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager , you will be responsible for:

  • Leading cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product Management, Network Operations, Sales, Services, and Support to support the product roadmaps
  • Developing successful partnerships with engineering, product and program stakeholders across the organization
  • Identifying and communicating backlog of work with key stakeholders, guiding them in priorities based on business needs
  • Maintaining and iterating on a roadmap of committed work through the current calendar

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 8 years experience in project and program management
  • Have a High School / Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, another related field or its equivalent.
  • Demonstrate experience working with JIRA and Confluence
  • Possess experience in Identifying and managing project dependencies while maintaining accurate project plans with real-time milestones
  • Have experience working with Internet technologies or protocols such as DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP
  • Be able to analyze workload and communicate technical issues to senior stakeholders of varying technical ability
  • Have good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills needed to work across global constituencies
