We are the movers of the world and the makers of the future. We get up every day, roll up our sleeves and build a better world -- together. At Ford, we’re all a part of something bigger than ourselves. Are you ready to change the way the world moves?

Ford’s Electric Vehicles, Digital and Design (EVDD) team is charged with delivering the company’s vision of a fully electric transportation future. EVDD is customer-obsessed, entrepreneurial, and data-driven and is dedicated to delivering industry-leading customer experience for electric vehicle buyers and owners. You’ll join an agile team of doers pioneering our EV future by working collaboratively, staying focused on only what matters, and delivering excellence day in and day out. Join us to make positive change by helping build a better world where every person is free to move and pursue their dreams.

In this position...
As a Senior Technical Program Manager - you will sit at the intersection of strategy and execution for Ford’s electric vehicle future. You will own the delivery of critical transformation initiatives, driving roadmap creation, prioritization, and follow through. Your expertise will be crucial in bridging the gap between EVDD innovation and legacy system stability, leading cross-functional teams to build the scalable capabilities necessary for Ford’s next generation of mobility.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...

  • Act as the coordination lead for assigned workstream portfolio, ensuring alignment across internal ADVEV Digital Transformation (ADT) team and dependencies with the broader organization
  • Define quarterly roadmap, milestones, and dependencies
  • Run operating cadences and drive timely decisions with clear escalations
  • Maintain workstream risk register and use it to lead mitigation
  • Define KPIs and build dashboards tracking ADT team delivery
  • Configure project planning tools and ensure data hygiene within the ADT team
  • Align expectations and resolve conflicts with our stakeholders alongside the Business Architect and Organizational Change Management team
  • Define and maintain prioritization frameworks tied to vehicle milestones and business requirements, using this structure to set and justify execution priorities
  • Keep lead TPM informed of progress, key updates, and emerging risks across your portfolio
  • Be a team player—identify gaps and either jump in yourself or champion for the right resources to fill them
  • Support the team's overall success, not just your individual work streams

Qualifications

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • Proven experience in digital transformation or business transformation projects
  • Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager
  • Strong technical program management and planning skills, overseeing multiple projects at the same time
  • Strong collaboration skills to integrate cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience with Jira as a team planning tool

Even better, you may have….

  • Accountability, consistency, & follow-through
  • Attention to detail
  • Critical thinking capacity
  • Continuous improvement mindset

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder…or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you, including:
• Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage
• Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care and more
• Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments, and more
• Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases
• Tuition assistance
• Established and active employee resource groups
• Paid time off for individual and team community service
• A generous schedule of paid holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day
• Paid time off and the option to purchase additional vacation time.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
