About Syllo

Syllo is on a mission to transform litigation. Our product is a unified litigation platform that enables lawyers and paralegals to safely harness the power of language models and agentic AI throughout the litigation life cycle. Since going to market, we have gained a diverse group of enterprise customers, including some of the biggest law firms and corporations in the country, and we are quickly expanding. By reducing the expense of litigation industry-wide, we aim to improve access to high-quality representation and promote the alignment of legal outcomes with merit.

About the Role

We're growing quickly, and as our Product & Engineering organization expands, we're looking for someone who thrives on bringing clarity, structure, and operational excellence to fast-moving teams.

Responsibilities

As Syllo's Technical Program Manager, you'll own the operational pulse of Product & Engineering.

  • Drive day-to-day execution of our software development lifecycle, maintaining alignment between teams without sacrificing speed.

This is a highly cross-functional role that requires exceptional organization, sound judgment, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with meticulous execution.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Technical Project Management, Engineering Operations, or a similar role supporting software engineering organizations.
  • Demonstrated success leading execution across multiple engineering teams in a high-growth technology company.
  • Strong understanding of modern software development practices, including Agile, Scrum, Git-based development workflows, CI/CD, and software release processes.
  • Experience managing technical programs from planning through delivery, coordinating dependencies, resolving blockers, and driving cross-functional alignment.
  • Comfortable partnering with highly technical engineering leaders while effectively communicating with Product, Design, QA, Customer Success, and executive leadership.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage many concurrent initiatives without losing attention to detail.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to balance competing priorities while helping teams make thoughtful tradeoffs.
  • Proven ability to improve engineering processes and operational efficiency without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical work into clear updates for a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Highly proactive and self-directed. You identify problems before they become blockers and build systems that help teams operate more effectively.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities evolve quickly and ambiguity is expected.
 Nice to Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).

Salary Range ($160K to $190K) plus health insurance and equity.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
