ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Technical Product Manager on the FOX Sports Digital team, you’ll lead the roadmap and delivery of the APIs and services behind our fan-facing websites and apps. Your focus will be on building scalable, reliable, and modern middleware solutions that deliver real-time sports data and interactive features at massive scale.

You’ll work closely with developers, designers, and stakeholders to turn complex ideas into seamless digital experiences. If you’re passionate about sports and excited to shape the future of how fans connect to the game—this is your moment.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Integration Analysis:  Evaluate feature designs to understand the data and model needs to efficiently power user-facing products 

  • Documentation:  Author data contracts, system designs, user stories, product briefs, etc.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges, ensuring optimal product performance and seamless user experiences

  • Prioritization: Assess business needs, roadmaps schedules and prioritize accordingly

  • Scalability: Contribute to designing, optimizing, and maintaining systems to ensure scalability, reliability, and high availability, especially during high-traffic events

  • Ownership:  Own middleware feature delivery from conception to production release

  • Enablement:  Creates internal tools to manage systems to limit code deployments

  • Research:  Evaluate the competitive landscape to understand a problem from every angle

  • Innovation:  Generate exciting, unique ways to present information and solve problems

  • Maintain and improve existing products incorporating feedback, metrics and analysis

  • Participate in product brainstorming sessions

  • Stay current on software development practices and the technology industry

  • Stay current on sports products, topics and trends

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Passion:  Strong affinity for sports, statistics, data and interactive systems

  • Detail-oriented:  Comprehensive problem-solving including edge case analysis, future proofing and maintainability

  • Communication:  Must be a strong a strong communicator, both written and oral

  • Technical focus:  Go deep to comprehend technical workflows, documentation, conversations, etc.

  • API Fluency:  Strong familiarity with reading and modeling RESTful API

  • Self-Motivated:  Hunger to be the best and a key cog in a successful collection of teams

  • Proactive:  Must keep the team ahead of downstream client needs

  • Innovative Mindset: A passion for exploring approaches to improve performance and elevate user experience.

  • Embraces AI:  Utilizes AI, where appropriate, to bolster individual and team efficiency

  • Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work effectively within a team, contributing ideas and solutions while valuing collective success.

  • FOX Tech is a globally distributed team; You’ll need to be open to attending occasional meetings and/or trouble shooting sessions outside your normal work hours.

  • Significant experience with Postman, Swagger, Charles and similar tools

  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other web essentials

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $128,000.00-157,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
