About the RoleAs a Senior Technical Product Manager focusing on Non-English Language development for our AI agents, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and optimal patient experience for all users interacting with Hippocratic AI's clinical agents in non-English languages. This encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including working with a team of bilingual clinicians and engineers to evaluate, train, and continuously improve our clinical agent in all non-English languages. Your work will directly impact the quality of patient and clinician interactions, ensuring they consistently meet the highest standards of clinical accuracy, empathetic communication, and adherence to all relevant regulatory guidelines. In this role, you will collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams, working closely with native target language speakers, engineers, researchers, and clinical experts to implement robust safety protocols and empathetic patient care. Your goal will be to deliver an exceptional patient experience that fosters trust and confidence in Hippocratic AI's clinical agents across all languages. This is a detail-oriented role requiring meticulous attention to ensure that every aspect of the user experience, from language nuances to cultural sensitivities, is carefully considered and addressed. Your work will be instrumental in establishing the trust, reliability, and effectiveness of Hippocratic AI's core healthcare-focused LLM offering in all non-English languages, contributing significantly to the company's global impact and reach.
ResponsibilitiesWork with clinicians and native language speakers to identify and evaluate the challenges Hippocratic AI’s clinical agents have across all languages and build out a roadmap to improve them
Work with clinicians and the AI research team to create training data and model evaluation frameworks for each language to improve the capabilities of Hippocratic AI’s clinical agents
Work with clinicians and patients that speak the target language to understand which AI voices and communication styles are able to convey empathy and maintain Hippocratic AI’s style across all languages
Define and build out a localization roadmap to support additional geographics in each of our languages (ie Spanish spoken in Mexico vs Spanish spoken in Spain)
Define and track product metrics (e.g., hallucination rates, safety scores, user satisfaction, NPS) to gauge performance and drive improvements.
Collaborate with the QA team to define and implement QA specifications, ensuring high product quality.
Understand detailed feature implementation and work cross-functionally with design, engineering, and healthcare experts to ensure all product requirements are met.
Experience building multilingual applications
Excellent skills in writing product documentation, and defining QA specifications.
Ability to manage product roadmaps and work cross-functionally with multiple teams (engineering, design, QA).
Strong technical and AI-focused background to collaborate effectively with engineering and research teams.
Experience in internationalization projects and expanding products to other countries and languages.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex AI-related topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Attention to detail and a track record of managing products in a fast-paced environment with multiple, competing priorities.
Experience working with generative AI technologies.
Experience in developing or managing products in the healthcare or clinical field.
Experience working in a startup or fast-growing company.
Some level of exposure to other languages (Mandarin, Arabic, Hindi)
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and safety standards.
Previous engineering experience, computer science degree, or deep technical experience is strongly preferred
