As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will oversee delivery, drive data-informed growth, and ensure cross-functional alignment to enhance the marketplace and platform experience.
About the Role
Science Exchange is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager, Growth & Platform to join our small, high-impact product team. You’ll partner directly with our SVP of Product & Design to drive product execution and measurable growth across our marketplace and enterprise platform.
This is a role for a builder — someone who loves sitting next to engineers, writing excellent tickets, untangling complex systems, and using data to guide every decision. You’ll combine strong technical fluency with growth instincts, helping us deliver great products and learn faster as we scale.
If you thrive in a hands-on environment where you can own delivery, instrument insights, and directly impact business outcomes, you’ll feel right at home here.
What You’ll DoOwn Delivery & Execution- Act as Product Owner for core platform initiatives — managing backlog, writing detailed user stories, and collaborating daily with engineering.
- Collaborate with design to create useful and usable solutions that our customers love.
- Participate in standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to drive clarity and momentum.
- Write clear, technically literate tickets that balance user needs, data dependencies, and system constraints.
- Partner with QA to validate acceptance criteria and ensure release quality.
- Proactively identify and unblock risks, dependencies, or ambiguity in delivery.
Drive Data-Informed Growth
- Define and track key growth metrics — activation, conversion, adoption, retention, and engagement.
- Partner with data and engineering teams to instrument analytics and establish product dashboards.
- Analyze feature performance and use data to prioritize product iterations and experiments.
- Work with GTM and Implementation teams to ensure seamless onboarding and customer adoption.
- Lead lightweight experiments (A/B tests, flow optimizations, messaging changes) to improve product performance.
Bridge Technical & Business Worlds
- Collaborate with engineers on system architecture, APIs, and integrations with ERPs, CRMs, and other enterprise tools.
- Understand data models and platform dependencies to make smart trade-offs and reduce technical debt.
- Partner with the VP of Product to ensure strategic initiatives translate into clear, achievable workstreams.
- Contribute to process improvements that make our product development lifecycle faster and more predictable.
- Communicate product goals, metrics, and delivery updates to stakeholders across the organization.
- Collaborate with Design to ensure user experience excellence and with Customer Success to capture feedback loops.
- Support documentation and knowledge sharing in Confluence, JIRA, and related tools.
What You’ll Bring
You’ll Thrive Here If You
Success Looks Like
- 7+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years in a technical or growth-focused PM role.
- Strong understanding of APIs, data models, and platform architecture — able to discuss implementation trade-offs with engineers.
- Demonstrated experience using analytics and experimentation to drive product decisions.
- Hands-on experience managing end-to-end delivery in an Agile or Kanban environment.
- Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, and analytics tools like Looker, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Fullstory or Segment.
- Strong communication skills: you make complex information simple and actionable.
- Comfort in ambiguity — you bring structure and forward motion where others see uncertainty.
- A bias for action and ownership: you’re happiest when things are moving and measurable.
You’ll Thrive Here If You
- Love pairing technical systems thinking with data-driven decision-making.
- Enjoy the satisfaction of a clean release as much as the insight from a good metric.
- Take pride in writing crisp tickets and building clarity for your team.
- Value collaboration, transparency, and curiosity.
- Want to work directly with a SVP who values design thinking, product craftsmanship, and thoughtful execution.
Success Looks Like
- A smooth, predictable product development rhythm where engineers are never blocked.
- Growth metrics that clearly tie to product initiatives.
- Clear, accessible dashboards showing adoption, performance, and ROI.
- A VP of Product who can focus on strategy because you’ve made execution measurable and scalable.
