Who You Are

You’re the calm in the chaos - the one who brings order, clarity, and momentum when it matters most. You’re a seasoned project manager with deep technical fluency and thrive in complex, high-stakes environments.

You take pride in supporting others and know how to drive outcomes during high-stakes situations. You're excited about helping bring clients back from the brink after a cybersecurity incident.

You’re reliable, responsive, and understand that incident response doesn’t always follow a 9-to-5 schedule. You’re naturally curious, feedback-driven, and passionate about contributing to the evolution of our platform and services.

Why You Matter

You’ll be joining MOXFIVE as a Senior Technical Engagement Manager, supporting cyber incident recovery efforts across infrastructure, cloud, and endpoint environments. From small businesses to large multinational enterprises, you’ll manage engagement project workflows from initial scoping and planning through full restoration, overseeing timelines, task coordination, documentation, and deliverables.

In high-pressure situations like ransomware attacks, you'll help teams stay organized and on track, ensuring work stream efforts run smoothly regardless of scale or complexity. This role involves working closely with technical experts, legal teams, and client leadership, translating objectives into clear, actionable plans.

Working hand-in-hand with MOXFIVE Technical Advisors, you’ll turn strategy into execution. Leveraging the MOXFIVE platform to streamline workflows, maintain visibility across incidents, and ensure consistent coordination, bringing precision, speed, and structure to every engagement.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in cybersecurity or IT restoration
  • Experience managing high-pressure, client-facing technical engagements
  • Ability to align business recovery objectives with technical response efforts
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level updates
  • Proven experience working with legal teams, forensics providers, IT, and insurance carriers during incidents
  • Highly organized with an ability to manage multiple fast-moving priorities
  • Comfortable working flexible hours as incidents unfold
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or a related field

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
