Senior Business Analyst – AI Search & Digital Experience

Position Summary:

Are you passionate about creating intelligent, AI-powered search experiences that transform how customers, partners, and employees discover and interact with information?


We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with strong hands-on enterprise search experience to help lead the strategy, innovation, and continued evolution of our AI Search capabilities across both external and internal digital experiences.


This role will be responsible for advancing the AI-powered search experience on NXP.com, leveraging Elastic, while also helping evolve our internal enterprise search experience using Glean, including the expansion and optimization of enterprise data connectors and information sources.


The ideal candidate brings deep experience working with enterprise search platforms and understands the full search lifecycle, from content ingestion, connectors, indexing and metadata to relevance, semantic and AI-powered retrieval, search experience optimization with skills and agents, analytics, and continuous improvement. This individual will work closely with business, content, UX, architecture, data, and technology teams to identify opportunities, define requirements, evaluate emerging search and AI capabilities, and translate business and user needs into a forward-looking enterprise search roadmap.


Success in this role requires someone who can go beyond requirements gathering and project execution to serve as a search subject matter expert and strategic partner, using search analytics, user behavior, experimentation, and emerging AI capabilities to continuously improve information discovery, relevance, and the overall digital experience.

We work closely with business teams on strategic process improvements, developing the next generation capabilities to provide a best-in-class digital experience. 
  • GSM IT works with vendor partners including software developers and project leads to design and implement easy to use, customer-ready solutions leveraging SaaS, cloud services and custom development where needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage Global Sales & Marketing IT Digital Transformation projects using Scaled Agile in a fast-paced environment ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Collaborate and partner with business and IT in defining, preparing and executing projects and change programs
    • Gather and analyze business requirements
    • Understand the needs of the business on a strategic and operational level
    • Develop overall project plans and approach in collaboration with the business team
    • Develop high-level functional design and create business workflows and user flows as needed
    • Analyze varying solutions and recommend strategy with an eye on automation, AI/ML, functionality, cost, technology and value as appropriate
    • Mitigate risks and address project obstacles as needed
    • Drive implementation with the onshore/offshore software development team
    • Effectively engage and communicate with project team, management, project stakeholders and business team to share project status and identification/resolution of any project issues
    • Conduct IT acceptance testing and coordinate testing with users
    • Coordinate project deployment with the release management team
  • May be responsible for sourcing, negotiations and managing outside vendors
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies for optimizing content for improved search results and user engagement.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to search effectiveness, user satisfaction, and impact on lead generation and customer support efficiency.

Qualifications:

Required Experience:

  • BS or MS degree in Project Management, Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst and IT project management, with demonstrated hands-on experience leading enterprise search initiatives.
  • Strong practical experience with enterprise search platforms such as Elastic, Glean, or comparable technologies
  • Strong understanding of AI-powered search, including semantic search, natural language processing, GenAI, LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agents, skills and emerging approaches like MCP to intelligent information discovery
  • Excellent communication with good presentation skills and ability to work with a geographically dispersed, multi-cultural team
  • Strong knowledge of software development fundamentals crossing all phases of the software development lifecycle: requirements, analysis, design, prototyping, development, testing, implementation
  • Experience using Agile methodologies and familiarity with Agile project management tools (Jira, Service Now)  
  • Familiarity with user experience (UX) design principals, particularly in sales and marketing applications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on enhancing digital user experiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning concepts applied to search optimization
  • Experience with Elastic and/or Glean, including implementation, optimization, administration, configuration, or ongoing product evolution.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor industry terminology, products, and customer needs
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and their application to search interfaces
