Scopely is looking for a Senior Tech QA Analyst to join our Monopoly Go! team in the US on a remote basis.

Monopoly GO! is our new casual game and a key franchise that has just become one of Scopely’s largest games enjoyed by millions of players. The team is based in Europe and the US, and works every day to create captivating new experiences for our players.


What You Will Do 

Reporting to the Tech QA Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day quality efforts of the Build and Automation team (BAT). This team is responsible for developing, integrating, and releasing tools and technologies that enhance and secure the build process, as well as executing and monitoring daily automated tests to ensure the integrity and efficiency of our build pipeline.

As a key advocate for quality at Scopely, you will help shape our ongoing commitment to excellence.

  • Be the primary QA DRI for the Build & Automation Team (BAT), ensuring the highest standard of quality at all times 
  • Develop clear and comprehensive test plans that define scope of coverage, accurate time estimates, resourcing needs, tooling / cheat needs, and any wider requirements to support testing from concept through to release
  • Drive the creation, upkeep, and execution of test suites and cases tailored to your pod’s specific needs and evolving scope
  • Maintain a clean and prioritized bug database in alignment with your pod’s work
  • Lead the onboarding of external embedded QA resources into your pod, ensuring they are set up for success and aligned with internal processes, while fostering a strong working relationship to remain aligned on priorities at all times
  • Take ownership of your pod’s quality output by leading through example, performing hands-on testing, and ensuring accountability at all stages of development
  • Raise pre-production quality concerns by reviewing briefs and design documents, championing a ‘shift left’ attitude
  • Facilitate pod-specific playtests to gather broader feedback, track issues effectively, and ensure follow-up actions are taken where needed
  • Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date quality overview of upcoming technical changes or additions, leveraging effective tracking and reporting tools to provide clear visibility at any time
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of MonopolyGo!’s core game mechanics, supporting the broader Game QA team as needed
  • Adhere to team-wide QA governance and best practices, ensuring full alignment with the project’s QA lifecycle from inception through post-release support
  • Collaborate closely with developers to understand changes in scope and assess cross-functional impacts that may require additional quality control
  • Take part in annual reviews by offering feedback to peers and managers, while also using the opportunity to reflect and grow professionally
  • Embody and promote Scopely’s core tenets through your actions, communication, and leadership

What We’re Looking For 

  • Experienced with CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong familiarity with backend testing
  • Knowledge of E2E testing tools such as Charles Proxy and Postman
  • Bamboo; Jenkins; Testrail
  • Exceptional leadership skills with proven experience 
  • Strong verbal / written communication and an excellent attention to detail 
  • Strong time management, accountability and organisational skills 
  • Proactive, enthusiastic and self-motivated  
  • Flexible to an agile setup with the ability to multitask, managing coverage for multiple high profile releases with strict deadlines 
  • A strong commercial awareness with an understanding of business priorities and goals
  • Comfortable travelling on occasion to offshore hub locations 
  • Exceptional reporting capabilities 
  • Extensive knowledge of JIRA and / or similar bug tracking systems 
  • Mobile exposure and an understanding of Apple / Google submission protocol
  • A sound understanding of the gaming industry and the typical end to end development lifecycle
  • Knowledge and experience working with Unity and running builds locally
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks and how to build these

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for equity, bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
