How you fit in

Fabletics is hiring a Senior Talent Development Specialist who will own a portfolio of high-impact programs that build skills, accelerate performance, and strengthen career growth across the organization.

The Senior Talent Development Specialist designs, owns, and continuously improves enterprise learning programs across onboarding, core skills, career development, and team effectiveness. They are someone who can run mature programs today while evolving them for tomorrow.

This position will report to the VP, Talent Development & Systems.

What you will do:

  • Act as program owner for a defined L&D portfolio

  • Translate business needs into scalable learning experiences, modifying existing programs and creating new ones

  • Partner closely with the Director of Learning & Leadership Development on strategy and coherence

  • Provide oversight and direction to the Talent Development Coordinator for operational execution of Fashion Week, our employee onboarding program

  • Contribute as a Talent Management “minor” partner across performance, career pathing, and engagement initiatives

What you will own:

Learning Programs & Curriculum

You will be accountable for the end-to-end lifecycle (design, delivery, evaluation, and evolution) of key learning programs, including:

  • Fashion Week & Brand Bootcamp – Enterprise onboarding ecosystem

  • RISE IC – 5-week cohort-based development for individual contributors (LifeLabs partnership)

  • RISE Express – Open-enrollment, just-in-time learning experiences

  • RISE Manager Essentials – Core people-manager skill sessions

  • Career Odyssey – Career exploration and development program

  • Style Your Day – Ongoing learning series leveraging internal SMEs

  • Mentor Match Up – Structured mentoring program (matching, design, experience quality)

  • Toastmasters (liaison) – Budget and program sponsorship

  • New College Grad Program – Early-career foundational skills curriculum

  • Team Offsites  – Design and facilitation of team-building experiences

Our team’s Talent Development Coordinator will manage most of the logistics and administration of our programs. You are accountable for learner experience, program quality, outcomes, and evolution.

Program Design & Continuous Improvement

  • Diagnose learner and business needs; translate them into clear learning objectives

  • Evaluate program effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative data

  • Refresh content and formats to improve engagement, scalability, and impact

  • Instructional design of new programs

  • Balance build / buy / hybrid solutions thoughtfully

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Own the relationship with LifeLabs Learning, LinkedIn (and other vendors as needed)

  • Manage contracts, scope, and program effectiveness

  • Ensure vendor offerings align with Fabletics’ learning philosophy and standards

Talent Management Minor (Shared Ownership)

While L&D is your major, you’ll also contribute to broader talent systems, including:

  • Career paths and development frameworks

  • Performance enablement and manager capability

  • Employee engagement initiatives

  • Cross-functional talent programs with your TM-focused peer

What you can bring:

  • 3–5+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development or Talent Development

  • Proven experience owning and scaling programs, not just facilitating sessions

  • Strong instructional design capability (adult learning principles, blended learning)

  • Comfort operating as a program manager + designer

  • Ability to influence without authority and partner across levels

  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, OD, Psychology, or related field (preferred)

  • Relevant certifications (CPTD, ATD, instructional design, etc.) a plus

  • Experience with instructional design/authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Rise, Captivate, etc.)

  • Comfortable leveraging AI and emerging tools to accelerate content development, enhance learner experience, and improve program scalability.

What success looks like

  • Programs run smoothly without heroics

  • Learners see clear value and applicability

  • Leaders trust your judgment and come to you early

  • The TD function gains capacity—not complexity

  • Programs evolve as the business evolves

  • A real opportunity to build, not just maintain

  • Direct impact on growth, engagement, and retention

Where we are:

  • This role will be based in our El Segundo Headquarters

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
