CAIS is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to deliver searches from initial brief through accepted offer, focusing on quality, consistency, and speed of hiring.

This is a senior individual contributor role for an accomplished recruiter who combines exceptional sourcing and market-mapping capability with sound judgement, commercial understanding, and credibility with senior leaders. You will recruit across a varied portfolio of teams and role types throughout CAIS, including Operations, Client Service, Sales, and Marketing, Technology, Product, and other functions across our offices in the United States and London, England.

We are particularly interested in recruiters who have successfully managed a broad portfolio of searches at the same time, rather than specializing exclusively in one function. Experience in one or more of the functions above is valuable, and candidates from asset management, wealth management, alternative investments, or fintech environments are likely to bring relevant market understanding. Experience across every function or sector is not expected.

This is not a strategy-only or team-management role. You will remain directly involved throughout the candidate journey, including sourcing, outreach, interview coordination, scheduling, assessment, and closing. You will earn influence through the quality of your delivery, the strength of your advice, and your ability to align hiring teams around clear, evidence-based decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment across a flexible portfolio of functions, locations, and seniority levels, prioritized against CAIS's most important business needs.
  • Take ownership of approved roles from initial intake through accepted offer, including candidate communication, scheduling, assessment, offer management, and closing.
  • Support business leader to translate business requirements into clear role briefs, candidate profiles, sourcing strategies, scorecards, and structured selection processes.
  • Build and maintain direct talent pipelines through proactive sourcing, market mapping, referrals, and long-term relationship development.
  • Provide leaders with market intelligence on talent availability, compensation, competitor activity, and likely hiring constraints.
  • Host role-alignment meetings with hiring managers and confirmed interview panels before searches move into full delivery.
  • Design effective interview plans and assessment methods that support fair, consistent, and evidence-based decisions.
  • Deliver practical interviewer training and coach interview debriefs, helping teams distinguish evidence from intuition or familiarity.
  • Use CAIS's recruiting technology and AI tools effectively and partner with Recruitment Operations on ATS workflows, automation, reporting, and process monitoring.
  • Evaluate emerging recruiting and AI technologies and make evidence-based recommendations on where new tools could improve hiring outcomes or candidate experience.
Qualifications
  • Substantial in-house recruiting experience, with evidence of delivering complex and business-critical searches.
  • Experience in asset management, wealth management, alternative investments, fintech, or a related financial-services environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing a varied portfolio across different functions and seniority levels at the same time.
  • Recruiting experience within one or more of: Operations, Client Service, Sales, Marketing, Technology, or Product.
  • Exceptional direct-sourcing, talent-mapping, and candidate-engagement capability.
  • Evidence of delivering difficult searches without defaulting to external agencies.
  • Strong judgement and the credibility to advise, influence, and constructively challenge senior leaders.
  • Strong command of applicant tracking systems, sourcing platforms, recruiting analytics, and candidate-management tools.
  • Genuine curiosity about AI and emerging recruiting technology, combined with the discipline to evaluate tools critically.
  • Comfort operating as a hands-on individual contributor, including personally managing candidate communication and interview scheduling.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
