RESPONSIBILITIES
Technology Strategy & Systems Ownership
- Own the company’s overall IT and systems architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational needs, and long-term growth
- Develop and maintain a forward-looking systems and technology roadmap that balances scalability, security, usability, and cost efficiency
- Continually evaluate and improve the company’s tech stack, identifying opportunities for automation, integration, simplification, and process improvement
- Stay current on emerging technologies, platforms, and best practices, proactively recommending innovations that create tangible business value
- Act as the primary bridge between business teams and technical resources (internal stakeholders, external developers, consultants, and vendors)
- Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications, and communicate technical constraints and tradeoffs back to business partners in plain language
- Partner closely with Finance, Operations and Supply Chain, Marketing, DTC, and other functional leaders to understand workflows, pain points, and priorities
- Ensure technology decisions are grounded in business outcomes, ROI, and operational impact
- Oversee and optimize core business systems (e.g., ERP, EDI, CRM, eCommerce, HRIS, BI) and ensure they are reliable, well-integrated, and scalable
- Own system integrations, APIs, middleware, and data flows to ensure data accuracy, availability, and consistency across platforms
- Lead system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements from discovery through delivery, partnering with vendors and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes
- Establish standards and documentation for systems architecture, integrations, and data governance
- Own day-to-day IT operations and serve as the primary point of accountability for all employee-facing technology needs
- Support all team members across IT-related issues, including hardware, software, systems access, and troubleshooting, ensuring a high-quality employee experience
- Manage onboarding and offboarding of team members, including device provisioning, system access, permissions, security controls, and documentation
- Own hardware and equipment procurement, including device standards, purchasing, inventory tracking, lifecycle management, and refresh planning
- Oversee and manage the company’s third-party IT help desk / managed service provider, setting expectations, SLAs, escalation paths, and performance standards
- Continuously improve IT support processes, documentation, and self-service resources to increase efficiency and reduce friction as the company scales
- Ensure IT operations scale with growth while maintaining security, reliability, and cost discipline
- Ensure appropriate security, access controls, backup, disaster recovery, and compliance practices are in place and evolving with the company’s risk profile
- Partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to assess risks and implement practical, business-aligned security controls
- Maintain IT policies, standards, and documentation to support operational excellence and audit readiness as needed
- Manage relationships with external developers, consultants, SaaS vendors, and managed service providers
- Drive accountability across vendors by setting clear scopes, timelines, budgets, and success criteria
- Evaluate and select new vendors and tools, leading structured assessments and implementation planning
- Oversee IT-related projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and aligned with business priorities
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
- 8+ years of progressive experience in IT, systems, or technology roles with broad, hands-on exposure across infrastructure, applications, integrations, and end-user support
- Proven experience acting as a business-facing IT leader and trusted advisor to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong working knowledge of modern, SaaS-based technology stacks, cloud platforms, APIs, and integrations
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendors and external development teams effectively without direct reports
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and prioritization skills, with a pragmatic and service-oriented mindset
- Experience in high-growth, consumer, retail, or omnichannel organizations
- Familiarity with ERP, eCommerce platforms, BI tools, and financial systems
- Experience modernizing or scaling IT operations in a growing company environment

Salary Range Opportunity:
- The hiring range for this role is $100,000-120,000 USD
