Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for a Senior System Engineer to join our growing team in one of the biggest European organizations.
- Administer instances of on cloud(Azure&AWS) and on premises Databases.
- Optimise database maintenance plan & fix high availability database server issues.
- Perform database maintenance/task streamlining.
- Investigate backup/restore issues.
- Optimise database replication and disaster recovery.
- Second tier incident management.
- Investigation of root cause of incidents and proposal of short-term and long-term solutions.
- Perform on demand database backup and restore.
- Monitor SQL server cluster performance and anticipate issues.
- Patch/Update of database servers/infrastructure.
- Assist in automation of on demand database backups.
- Respond to requests for database creation, user privilege assignment.
Mandatory requirements:
- Bachelor's plus minimum of 10 years' of relevant professional experience in IT
- Fluency, in English, to at least B2 level according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
- Professional experience with cloud(Azure&AWS) and on premises Databases.
- Professional experience with SQL server.
- Strong knowledge with database technologies, especially Microsoft SQL and MySQL/Maria DB
- Strong interest in technology and a desire to learn and grow in applicable technologies field is required. Skills and knowledge must be kept current.
Additional needed qualification, knowledge, and skills:
- Knowledge of additional DB technologies advantageous.
