Your Job Opportunity:

EVPassport is seeking a Sr. Supply Chain and Procurement Manager to run the supply chain and procurement functions . In this role, you will  Develop and execute procurement and supply chain strategies for EV make ready components and supplies, charging hardware, software, and related components, ensuring cost-effectiveness, continuity, and quality.

This position is ideal for a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in procurement system implementation and process optimization, capable of driving supply chain excellence in a rapidly evolving industry who thrives in a fast paced and productive work environment and is eager to make a measurable impact.

You will work closely with Deployment, Sales, and Technical Support teams, aligning strategies and driving initiatives that support opening new sites and supporting existing installations.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Procurement & Supplier Management
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for EV make ready components and supplies, charging hardware, software, and related components, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Manage domestic and international supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules to secure optimal terms.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, tariffs, and logistics requirements.
  • Establish and enforce procurement policies and procedures that promote compliance, transparency, and operational excellence.
  • Design and implement procurement processes within ERP systems to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Process Improvement & Risk Mitigation
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities across procurement and supply chain operations, leveraging strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, and process improvements.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and field operations teams to align procurement activities with company objectives and project timelines.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging data analytics, automation, and industry best practices.
Asset Tracking & RMA Management
  • Implement asset tracking systems to monitor EV charging hardware throughout its lifecycle, ensuring visibility into deployment, performance, and maintenance needs.
  • Optimize the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process, ensuring efficient handling of defective or faulty products, minimizing downtime, and improving supplier accountability.

Qualifications 

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, logistics, or inventory control.
  • ERP Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing procurement modules within ERP systems.
  • International Trade & Logistics Experience: Strong understanding of import/export regulations, customs clearance, freight forwarding, and tariffs.
  • Inventory Management Expertise: Experience with warehouse operations, inventory tracking systems, and demand forecasting.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to use data-driven decision-making to optimize supply chain performance.
  • Negotiation & Vendor Management Skills: Proven ability to negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and drive cost efficiencies.
  • Communication & Leadership Abilities: Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with EV charging infrastructure, power electronics, or hardware supply chain dynamics is a plus.

Salary: $110k-$145k | Placement within this base salary range depends upon several factors, including prior relevant job experience and skill set.

Location: This role will be hybrid between our Santa Monica office and our Torrance warehouse.
