Boeing Global Services is currently seeking a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer (Level 4 & 5) to become part of the Boeing Converted Freighter Structural Analysis team in Long Beach, CA.
The BGS BCF Structural Analysis team is responsible for supporting Repair Record Review and modification support during conversion of the 737-800BCF and 767-300BCF. The team is also responsible for evaluating new Program proposals as well as BCF COSP/SRP related investigations.
The selected candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, work environment. Team members will work with cross-functional teams including representatives from Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Liaison Engineering, Technical Integration, Supplier Management, and Program Management. The candidate must be able to provide technical direction to teammates on structural analysis and effectively communicate with cross-functional team members.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Level 4 and Level 5 Senior Structural Analysis Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Conduct stress analyses of aircraft primary structure using well defined analysis tools
  • Review and approve repair structural integrity through analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools to develop and maintain the structural environment, characteristics and performance
  • Supports in-service issue investigations and proposes retrofit solutions
  • Support Technical Review Boards and as a Structural Analysis Lead
  • Provide leadership and technical oversight to other Structural Analysis Engineers
  • Supports BCF modification Installation Deviation Requests with real-time support
  • Works under minimal direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • 9+ years' experience in structural analysis (Level 4)
  • Experience with structural design principles for aircraft primary structure (e.g., fatigue, damage tolerance, corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, and repair techniques)
  • Experience with structural design principles for repair and maintenance (e.g., fatigue, damage tolerance, corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, repair techniques)
  • Experience with Retrofit, Repairs, Modifications, and Maintenance
  • Experience working in a role requiring detailed documentation of technical requirements
  • Experience in role that required leadership in structural analysis
  • Experience with and understanding detailed engineering requirements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Level 5)
  • Experience with post-production modification programs

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range Level 4: $118,150 - $182,850
Summary pay range Level 5: $143,650 - $224,250
