Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity on its BDS Core Strategy team for a Senior Strategy Analyst! As an analyst on the team, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of the Aerospace and Defense industry and to support business and investment strategies for one of the most successful defense and security companies in the world. This position can be in El Segundo, CA, Seattle, WA, Saint Louis, MO, or Arlington, VA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain analytical products on the health of the defense industrial base, competitor capabilities, and industry investments and what it means to BDS
  • Stay up to date on relevant investment, technology, threat, and customer trends
  • Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and division teams to develop differentiated insights into the defense industrial base and its impacts on our plans and investments
  • Work across teams to generate key strategic analysis, possess an aptitude for critical thinking and can present the insights from this analysis to senior leaders
  • Understand the bigger strategic picture, but also can deep-dive into the key strategic and tactical issues of the businesses

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 5 years of experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data, summarizing findings, developing conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
  • 5 years of experience creating executive level presentations using Word, Power Point and Excel
  • Experience with cross-functional projects
  • Experience in a strategy, corporate development, or market analysis role or related experience
  • Experience presenting work products to executives, senior leadership, or external customers

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
  • Experience in developing and analyzing complex business case and cost models
  • Knowledge or experience with Department of Defense (DoD) or military customers
  • Experience with systems engineering, operations analysis, and/or threat analysis

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

This position may require travel up to 25%

Shift:

This position is for the 1st shift.

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Pay range:

Seattle, El Segundo, Arlington: $168,300 - $205,700

St Louis: $157,500 - $192,500
