Job Overview:

The Strategic Partner Account Manager will be the key liaison between Coursera and its diverse range of industry and university partners, ensuring that partner content performs well and meets both business and academic objectives. This role involves managing relationships, optimizing content performance, and driving long-term engagement and growth, making it a pivotal part of Coursera’s mission to deliver impactful learning experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned partners, maintaining a deep understanding of their goals, needs, and expectations.
  • Build strong relationships with both industry and university partners, aligning on business content needs and academic objectives to drive mutual success.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to partners for content improvements and optimizations, ensuring relevance and effectiveness on the Coursera platform.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Data Science, and other internal teams to ensure partner content is well-supported and effectively promoted across the platform.
  • Provide partners with regular performance reports, detailing key metrics, successes, and areas for improvement.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for partnership expansion, such as new content offerings or additional collaboration models that align with partners’ strategic goals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in partner success, account management, or relationship management, ideally in the edtech or B2B sector.
  • Strong track record in managing and nurturing partner relationships, with a focus on content performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in analyzing performance metrics and using data to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage partners effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with online education content, industry trends, and academic objectives.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, marketing, and data teams to drive partner success.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple partners simultaneously.
  • Comfort with CRM and data management tools (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau).

The range(s) listed above is the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.

Salary is just one component of Coursera’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for a bonus program and equity in the form of RSU’s.

A number of factors are taken into account when determining pay, which includes: job level, location, training/education, business need, skill set and internal equity. 

Current Zone Locations:

  • Zone 1- San Francisco Metro, New York City Metro or Seattle Metro
  • Zone 2 - CA (outside of SF Bay Area), CO, CT, DC, GA, IL, MA, MD, NY/NJ (other than NYC), OR, RI, TX, VA, WA (other than Seattle)
  • Zone 3 - all other US locations
