As a member of our Business Systems Engineering team, you will build or improve tools that are used daily by Go to Market teams. Our goal is to find bottlenecks and friction points, and drive process improvements as well as come up with technical solutions. Our team is the custodian of data that is used by sales, order, finance, support teams. We emphasize automation over operation, metrics over anecdotes, iteration over perfection and being proactive over responsive.

What You'll Do- Design and implement technical solutions that will span between AWS, Salesforce and NetSuite
- Improve systems observability and invest in reliability & correctness of data
- Develop customer empathy to propose improvements to systems
- Lead projects from ideation to release
- Help and mentor junior engineers
- 8+ years of software engineering with a focus on distributed systems at scale
- Shipped customer facing products or internal tools in the past
- Flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced startup environment
- Passion for observability and reliability
- In-depth expertise in distributed systems and data processing
- AWS Cloud experience touching foundational blocks like: Kubernetes, Fargate, Lambda, Airflow, Athena, DynamoDB, VPC, and EC2.
- Bonus: Experience with data infrastructure and data analytics

Annual Pay Range
At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs)
Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).
