About Onebrief

Onebrief is collaboration and AI-powered workflow software designed specifically for military staffs. By transforming this work, Onebrief makes the staff as a whole superhuman - meaning faster, smarter, and more efficient.

We take ownership, seek excellence, and play to win with the seriousness and camaraderie of an Olympic team. Onebrief operates as an all-remote company, though many of our employees work alongside our customers at military commands around the world.

Founded in 2019 by a group of experienced planners, today, Onebrief’s team spans veterans from all forces and global organizations, and technologists from leading-edge software companies. We’ve raised $123m+ from top-tier investors, including Battery Ventures, General Catalyst, Insight Partners, and Human Capital, and today, Onebrief is valued at $1.1B. With this continued growth, Onebrief is able to make an impact where it matters most.

About the Role

As a tenured Product Manager (Senior to Staff), you will define and execute Onebrief’s vision for its core planning and collaboration applications. These applications are the foundation of how staffs design and synchronize operations, surface risks, validate feasibility, and deliver executable plans.

Your mission is to ensure these core applications are powerful, intuitive, and indispensable for operational planning. You will partner closely with Engineering, Design, and military SMEs to refine and expand workflows, build new capabilities, and strengthen the reliability and usability that allow staffs to work at speed and scale.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy: Own the product strategy for Onebrief’s core applications, ensuring they meet the demands of real-world operational planning.

User-Centered Design: Translate user feedback and doctrine into clear workflows and features that deliver meaningful value to users while driving adoption and retention.

Execution Excellence: Partner with Engineering and Design to deliver high-quality, reliable experiences that reduce rework and increase staff confidence in the platform.

Workflow Innovation: Define and prioritize enhancements that improve coordination, accelerate feasibility validation, and support faster decision-making under time pressure.

Impact Measurement: Measure product impact in terms of feasibility validation, risk surfacing, planning speed, and mission outcomes.

Vision and Communication: Communicate vision and progress clearly across a distributed, async-first team and with external stakeholders.

About You

You thrive in complex environments and enjoy turning fragmented processes into seamless, intuitive workflows. You balance deep user empathy with technical understanding, and you know how to prioritize features that have the greatest impact on adoption and mission success. You are excited to shape the foundational workflows that define how staffs plan operations.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of product management experience, with a preferred at least 3 years in B2B SaaS, data-rich platforms, or workflow software.

  • Proven track record building complex workflows or domain-specific modules with measurable user impact.

  • Experience working with structured data, visualization, or collaboration systems.

  • Strong understanding of operational planning, sustainment, or intelligence workflows, ideally in defense or high-trust domains.

  • Excellent communication skills, especially in async and distributed environments.

  • Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.

  • Bonus: Experience in defense, operational planning, or military staff membership or workflows.

Why Join Onebrief?

The workflows you help deliver will shape how military organizations design and execute missions. By strengthening the core of the platform, you will empower staffs to plan faster, safer, and with greater confidence in feasibility. Join a high-performing team building breakthrough tools for those who need them most.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
