This role will be remote-first with limited travel through August 2025 with the expectation that employees will begin working 2 days per week in our dedicated office space in the city starting September 2025. 

About the Role:

Taskrabbit is seeking a highly motivated and talented Senior PR Specialist to join our US Brand and Communications team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and execute impactful communications strategies that will both drive national awareness and support metro-level growth and expansion. You will play a key role in shaping our brand narrative, spearheading creative campaign strategies and driving positive press coverage that supports our business objectives. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in media relations, campaign development, event or field marketing, and project management. 

The ideal candidate regularly comes up with bold, creative ideas and finds a way to bring them to life. You should be well-versed in media relations and strategy, with a deep understanding of the media landscape and what it takes to create an ongoing drumbeat of coverage across consumer and B2B press, both nationally and locally. You love to stay on top of the latest cultural trends and have a mind for creating and sharing relevant content that connects Taskrabbit to key moments and topics that matter to our target audiences, the community, and of course, the media.

As a core member of the Marketing team, the Senior PR Specialist will work collaboratively across social media, creative, and CRM, as well as partner closely with key internal stakeholders on monthly and annual planning, campaign execution, and business analysis. You will also manage our PR agency and serve as their primary point of contact within Taskrabbit. This role will report directly to the Director of Brand and Communications.

What You'll Work On:

  • Develop and execute quarterly PR plans to drive steady drumbeat of coverage across multiple mediums (online, print, broadcast, podcast, speaking/events, etc.)
  • Manage U.S. agency and work with agency team to manage inbound press inquiries and proactive outreach efforts, including drafting pitches, quotes, and responses, and setting up spokesperson interviews
  • Research and draft press releases, talking points, Q&As, fact sheets, blog posts, and other written materials
  • Develop and pitch story ideas to media to support seasonal brand and product priorities and major company initiatives
  • Create, develop, and source materials for proactive press outreach, including digital press kits, creative mailers, photo, video, data, and graphics
  • Coordinate with Partnerships, Social and Influencer teams on PR opportunities 
  • Monitor and maintain all media coverage, and analyze PR performance metrics to assess impact, inform future strategy, and optimize outreach efforts 
  • Produce results reports that demonstrate the effectiveness of PR efforts, and inform and inspire the internal team
  • Assist with crisis comms and reputation management
  • Draft communications materials for executives and prepare them for press opportunities
  • Develop and execute localized PR strategies to drive awareness and engagement in key regional markets, including community events, hyperlocal media, and grassroots initiatives

Your Areas Of Expertise:

  • 4+ years marketing/events experience at a PR or integrated marketing agency or in-house team focused on consumer, B2B, or product PR
  • Exquisite written and verbal communication skills
  • Natural strategic thinker, with ability to see the forest from the trees
  • Skill and appetite to operate at high pace and quality in an entrepreneurial context
  • Excellent problem solving skills, with demonstrated ability to find creative solutions to ambiguous problems
  • Excellent time-management skills and attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize across projects
  • Professional, positive, upbeat attitude

Compensation & Benefits: 

At Taskrabbit, our approach to compensation is designed to be competitive, transparent and equitable.  total compensation consists of base pay + bonus + benefits + perks.

The base pay range for this position is $80,000 - $107,000. This range is representative of base pay only, and does not include any other total cash compensation amounts, such as company bonus or benefits. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above, and will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, geography, and level.
