How you'll make an impact:

We are seeking a Analytics & Tag Management Developer who brings a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and collaborative spirit. This role will lead the strategy, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-level tag management initiatives that support advanced digital marketing, analytics, and personalization efforts. They will also collaborate on long-term strategies around marketing orchestration platforms and marketing analytics that enable capabilities and insights across our customer life cycles.

Candidates that are well qualified for this role will have subject matter expertise in Tag Management Systems like Adobe Launch and Tealium iQ and web-analytics tools like Google Analytics and Adobe Customer Journey Analytics. They have experience leveraging these tools to lead the design and deployment of data collection systems that enable analytics, personalization, and optimization initiatives. In addition, they have strong knowledge of key technologies that underpin modern websites (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) and have a proven track-record implementing complex tracking technologies on Data Layer-driven websites.

·       Architect, implement, and manage tag deployments across multiple properties using Adobe Launch and other leading Tag Management Systems.

·       Design and optimize data layer specifications to ensure robust, scalable, and future-proof tracking.

·       Establish tagging governance standards and best practices across the business unit.

·       Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations and Edwards Legal requirements.

·       Serve as the primary technical advisor on tagging and analytics to Marketing, Edwards IT, and Digital partners.

·       Translate business needs into technical tagging requirements and oversee their execution.

·       Lead testing and validation of analytics and marketing tags to ensure accurate data collection.

·       Partner with analytics teams to troubleshoot data discrepancies and optimize collection methods.

·       Regularly audit existing implementations to maintain high-quality, trustworthy datasets.

·       Analyze and optimize scripts and tags for performance, security, and compliance.

·       Ensure JavaScript execution integrity and minimal impact on website performance.

·       Contribute to the development of advanced personalization and targeting capabilities.

  • Collaborate with Edwards IT and external vendors on building and customizing Analytics and Tag Manager implementations.

  • Perform ad hoc analysis as assigned and actively identify new opportunities for value-add analytics.

  • Other incidental duties

What you'll need (Requirements):

·       Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems with 5 years of digital analytics experience implementing and operating tag management, web analytics, and app analytics platforms or

·      Master's Degree with 3 years of experience in a related field.

What else we look for (Preferred):

·       Expert in web and app measurement tools, including best practices and implementation.

·       Expert in tag management systems, including best practices and implementation.

·       Knowledge of analytics, web, and social media measurement technologies and trends.

·       Strong understanding of browser developer tools and debugging techniques.

·       Familiarity with personalization, A/B testing, and optimization tools.

·       Ability to set technical standards and drive adoption across teams.

·       Deep expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks such as React or Angular

·       Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects spanning IT, Digital, and Marketing.

·       Consistently pushes self and others to achieve challenging goals and objectives with a track record of executional successes based on integrity.

·       Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

·       Extensive knowledge of own area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.

·       Strict attention to detail.

·       Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization.

·       Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

·       Interacts with team members and other managers and may include suppliers, vendors and/or customers.

·       Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
 

Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.
For California, the base pay range for this position is $92,000 - $130,000 (highly experienced).
The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).  Applications will be accepted while this position is posted on our Careers website.
