We’re in this for the greater good at ParetoHealth. Our mission is collective greatness, nothing less will do. Our team is a single force united in the drive to transform employee health benefits.

The company was founded in 2011 to help small and medium-sized businesses fight the rising cost of employee health benefits. We blazed the trail with financing innovations that reduce the risks in self-insurance and deliver significant savings—and we continue to lead with a growing ecosystem of partners and world-class cost control solutions.

But success is measured by more than dollars alone and we measure ours by the good that comes from knowing that every client and all their employees can count on effective, affordable healthcare for years to come.

Please note that ParetoHealth does not provide employment visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship both now or in the future.

Position Summary:

The Solution Consultant role is a highly visible, field-facing strategic role for a subject matter expert who wants impact without people management.  The incumbent will use appropriate education to protect retention, accelerate solution adoption, and strengthen Pareto’s position as a strategic partner — not just a vendor. This role complements Customer Management by bringing advanced solution, technical, and clinical depth to our highest-priority customers.

The Solution Consultant is responsible for driving thoughtful adoption and value of Pareto’s priority Savings Engine solutions through education-first engagement, deep expertise, and strong cross-functional collaboration. This role supports consultants and employers by driving solution adoption, educating on solution value, identifying implementation risk early, and serving as a primary escalation point for complex questions.

The Solution Consultant partners closely with Account Managers, Product, Clinical, and vendor partners to ensure solutions are positioned appropriately, implemented effectively, and continuously improved based on field feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive Solution Adoption (Balanced with Education)

  • Lead or support strategic consultant and employer meetings to explain solution value, fit, and integration in a disciplined, education-first manner.
  • Build confidence through education with the goal of converting appropriate opportunities into adoption.
    • Focus on priority solutions including: Rightway, Lyra, PRxC, Springbuk, Renalotic, Found, First Stop Health & other high priority solutions
  • Partner with Account Managers to reduce solution complexity and elevate credibility in the field.

Provide Deep Technical and Clinical Expertise

  • Deliver strategic education to help employers and consultants get the most from adopted solutions.
  • Serve as the escalation point for technical and clinical questions related to Pareto solutions.
  • Leverage knowledge to enhance credibility and support informed decision-making.
  • Engage internal clinical, product, and vendor resources as needed to support successful outcomes.

Enable the Field

  • Deliver internal and external training to increase Account Manager confidence in technical and clinical discussions.
  • Raise the baseline level of solution knowledge across the field, reducing long-term dependency on escalations.
  • Identify risk early through oversight and reporting; partner with Product and vendors to resolve issues proactively.

Own the Feedback and Vendor Loop

  • Partner with Product to define vendor support needs, including escalation paths, dedicated support models, or engagement tools.
  • Act as a bridge between the field, Product, Clinical, and vendor partners to improve solution performance at scale.

Success Metrics

  • Adoption & Outcomes - Increased adoption of Savings Engine solutions across the book of business.
  • Engagement Effectiveness – Strong hit rate on engagements that lead to solution adoption. Balance of education & adoption leading to Pareto being seen as a strategic partner.
  • Operational Effectiveness - Reduced time-to-resolution for solution escalations including fewer stalled implementations tied to solution complexity or lack of education.
  • Enablement Impact - Increased Account Manager confidence in technical and clinical discussions (measured via internal feedback or survey)

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
