The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation, assessment, and support of the KeyNavigator platform. This role collaborates closely with product owners, business analysts, designers, and technical leads to deliver high-quality digital solutions. The engineer participates in agile squad ceremonies, contributes to UI standards, and supports the full software development lifecycle while mentoring junior developers and driving continuous improvement.

Essential Functions
  • Own and drive development, implementation, and support of the KeyNavigator platform
  • Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to develop features aligned with standards and best practices
  • Participate in agile squad ceremonies and the release process across the digital team
  • Develop and maintain UI standards; conduct code and design reviews
  • Estimate, design, implement, document, test, and deploy software solutions
  • Interpret wireframes and creative designs into functional requirements
  • Determine and promote best practices and standards for the team
  • Contribute ideas to advance technology and improve processes
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Monitor and mentor junior developers
  • Report status and progress to scrum masters and technical leads
  • Adapt and work with team members across varying experience levels
Education
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience (preferred)
Work Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in software development
  • 8+ years of experience working in agile development environments
  • 8+ years of experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • 8+ years of experience mentoring or supporting junior developers
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Certifications & Licenses
  • Relevant software development or agile certifications (preferred)
Skills
  • Strong proficiency in front-end and back-end development
  • Experience interpreting design specifications and wireframes
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and ceremonies
  • Ability to develop and enforce UI standards
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to mentor and support junior team members
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Experience with release management and deployment processes
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $79,000 to $125,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
