The NVIDIA Product Security Team is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer to join the Secure Development Platform team and help deliver scalable security solutions that enable secure, efficient, and auditable software releases. We’re looking for someone who can promote a “security first” culture while enabling product teams to integrate security, compliance, and quality earlier in the development lifecycle. The team builds secure platforms supporting program visibility, policy enforcement, and automation to meet the scale and complexity of NVIDIA’s diverse product ecosystem.
We are looking for a Senior Software Security Engineer to serve as a full stack developer building simplified tooling that standardizes and streamlines software releases across NVIDIA. Your mission will be to develop applications that unify quality, security, automation, and compliance across the software lifecycle, enabling transparent and auditable release frameworks. You'll also contribute to platform improvements for release tiering and context-driven PLC readiness. If you're passionate about advancing security through platform engineering, this role is for you!
What You’ll Be Doing:
Design and implement full stack applications to automate secure software release workflows
Drive the development and integration of in-house security tools and services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of efficiency and effectiveness.
Build APIs and microservices to integrate security tooling with CI/CD pipelines
Help streamline our security and compliance platform to support standardized release tiers
Define and integrate release context into Product Life Cycle (PLC) processes
Collaborate across engineering, compliance, and DevOps teams to embed security early
Promote adoption of security services that increase automation and reduce developer friction
Contribute to development standards that support early security issue detection (“shift left”)
What We Need to See:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience
5+ years of software engineering experience with emphasis on security or developer platforms
Proficiency in Python and Go, building backend services and integrating front-end components
Experience designing RESTful APIs and deploying microservices in containerized environments
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
Understanding of tools like Elasticsearch, Redis, RabbitMQ, S3, or SwiftStack
Ability to build secure, scalable tooling that enhances engineering workflows
Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
Ways to Stand Out From the Crowd:
Proficiency in modern front-end web development using Angular and/or ReactJS, with a focus on building responsive, intuitive, and maintainable UIs
Knowledge of vulnerability reporting through CVE
Working knowledge of open source Software Composition Analysis (SCA) tools for binary artifact analysis, AI security scan (eg. pickling detection or trustworthy scanning)
A passion for building platforms that make secure development scalable, visible, and developer-friendly
You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
