ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is part of a cross-functional team focused on delivering impactful improvements to our mobile application. As a Mobile Developer, you will build new features and refine existing ones, with a strong emphasis on performance, maintainability, and user experience. You will collaborate closely with backend, QA, design, and product partners to deliver well-scoped, high-quality solutions.

You will contribute throughout the full development lifecycle, from planning and design through implementation, testing, and deployment. While the tech stack includes modern frameworks such as Angular and Ionic, you will also work with platform-specific capabilities and tackle unique mobile challenges. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a Mobile Developer on a Scrum team, building and enhancing cross-platform mobile applications using modern frameworks.
  • Design and develop robust mobile application features with a strong focus on performance, responsiveness, and user experience.
  • Write unit tests, document code, and follow established software development best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with backend developers, QA engineers, designers, and product managers to define and deliver high-quality mobile solutions.
  • Contribute to planning, estimation, and technical discussions during grooming and sprint planning sessions.
  • Participate in the full mobile development lifecycle, from conceptualization and architecture through testing, deployment, and support.
  • Continuously improve code quality, performance, and reliability through code reviews and refactoring.
  • Stay up to date with emerging mobile trends, frameworks, and tools.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 5 years of professional software development experience.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in mobile application development.
  • Strong experience building cross-platform mobile or web applications using Angular.
  • Solid understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and responsive design.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts effectively.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Proficiency with the Ionic Framework and Capacitor for hybrid mobile application development.
  • Experience developing in Java.
  • Familiarity with app deployment processes for the App Store and Google Play.
  • Understanding of mobile performance optimization and debugging techniques.
